Lily Allen’s soundtrack for the Bridget Jones musical has been axed, the singer has revealed.
The “Hard Out Here” singer had recorded a number of tracks for a West End production based on the popular book and film about the diary of a self-proclaimed spinster.
But the score has reportedly been pulled at the request of author Helen Fielding.
Allen, 29, told The Sun : “I wrote some great music for it but Helen Fielding wants to go back and write a whole new story.
“It’s been a long-term project and I was happy to do my bit but I’m now out of the picture.”
Allen has worked on songs for the forthcoming musical over the past two years, including the track “Yummy” – a song about her fridge that she uploaded to SoundCloud.

Justifiably, Allen retaliated on Capital FM, slamming Perry’s song lyrics as ‘crass’ and criticising her for not writing her own music.

Allen was of course alluding to Cole’s conviction for assaulting a club toilet attendant in 2003. Cole kept hushed on the matter but unfollowed Allen shortly afterwards – subtle.

But Allen was having none of that, taking to Twitter to refute Cotton’s claims: ‘I did not blank you, that is simply not true, I didn’t see you or your husband.’

Cue the ‘Not Fair’ singer snapping back: ‘Yes, after tragically losing a child so late into my pregnancy I may have gained a few pounds, I am one of many that find comfort in food. I wasn’t exercising next time because I didn’t want to take any risks and, funnily enough, the survival of my children felt more important than being thin.” You tell her, Lily.

Later, Hilton posted a photo of Allen with the caption ‘Lily Allen + motherhood = bad idea’. Since then Allen has called him a “woman-hating retard’ and an ‘evil b*****d’.

Love’s rant included such descriptions of Allen as ‘ugly as hell’, ‘baby brat nonsense’ and an ‘insanely deluded irrelevant friendless child’.

But Allen said she has not given up hope of working in the West End.
“I’ve had two companies come to me and say, ‘Have you got ideas?,” she told the newspaper.
“They want me to find a movie that I think could adapt well and I do have some ideas that I think would work. So my work may make it to the West End yet.”
Earlier this month Allen criticised Radio One after management dropped her music from the playlist.
“The truth is nobody knows what the f**k they're doing,” she told PressPlay during an interview session posted via YouTube.
She added that she thought her album Sheezus wasn’t exactly a “triumph”, and “couldn’t wait” to get back in the studio.
