I’m a Celebrity: 5 biggest talking points as Jordan North, Beverley Callard and Vernon Kay to take part in Tuesday trial
Jordan North and Shane Richie were the first contestants to take part in a Bushtucker trial
Shane Richie and Jordan North took part in the first Bushtucker trial of the 2020 series of I’m a Celebrity on Monday 16 November.
The ITV reality series looks a bit different this year, with Covid-19 regulations meaning the Australian jungle has been swapped for an allegedly haunted castle in Wales.
Celebrities taking part in the new-look series include broadcaster Victoria Derbyshire, Olympic gold medallist Mo Farah and Coronation Street’s Beverley Callard – you can find the full lineup here.
Here are the biggest talking points of the latest episode.
1) Sir Mo Farah fell out of his hammock
In a rather undignified incident for the champion athlete, Farah was filmed at night taking a tumble out of his hammock and onto the hard stone floor of the celebrity castle digs.
2) Vernon Kay caused a stir in the showers
The TV presenter is large of frame, so the teeny shower that the celebrities have to use became a challenge in itself. A number of viewers compared it to the early scenes in Elf, where Will Ferrell’s character has equal trouble… fitting in.
3) SNAKES!
Radio presenter Jordan North appears to be petrified of everything, so there was plenty of shrieking when he got locked in a box full of vipers for the first Bushtucker trial.
4) The contestants didn’t want to put their eels up at dinnertime
After winning an impressive nine stars in their trial, Jordan and Shane thought they were in for a treat at dinner. What they ended up with was a whole lot of eels. Jordan, it is safe to say, was not happy.
5) Beverley Callard, Vernon Kay and Jordan North are next up for Tuesday’s (17 November) Bushtucker trial
The three celebrities have been nominated for the next trial, which looks set to involve some interesting delicacies for Frights of the Round Table and, quite possibly, Jordan throwing up again.
I’m a Celebrity continues each night on ITV at 9pm.
“If I was watching this, and I saw someone puke on the top of a cliff, I’d be like, ‘Get him in’” – Jordan on being put up for the Bushtucker trial
By the way, if anyone’s interested (and you should be), here’s a look at Beverly Callard’s infamous fitness DVD
That’s a wrap on tonight’s blog – see above for the biggest talking points of the latest episode!
