Apple’s AirPods have led the charge on Bluetooth headphones and, nearly a decade after their debut, remain the most popular wireless option. They may be pricier than some other options, such as those from Bose and Sony, however, there are still AirPod deals to be found if you know where to look – and luckily for you, I do.

But first, it’s worth remembering that Black Friday is just around the corner, and the sale event is a great opportunity to shop tech at a fraction of the price. The rest of the IndyBest team and I track the prices of popular products year-round and are gearing up to bring you the best of the best in our Black Friday guides, so be sure to watch this space.

Waiting for the sales before making a pricey purchase is a good tactical move for saving money, however, it’s not always the most practical if you need or want your new AirPods before Black Friday kicks off. That’s why I’ve sourced the best deals you can find on Apple’s AirPods 2, AirPods 4 and AirPods Max. Buying a brand-new pair of AirPods also enables you to get a free three-month trial of Apple Music (for new subscribers only), which would typically set you back £32.97 in total.

So keep scrolling for the best AirPods deals you can shop right now.

Why you can trust us to find the best AirPods deals

As The Independent’s senior tech critic, I specialise in reviewing the latest gadgets, including Apple products. I’ve been monitoring Apple prices for years, including during major sales events such as Black Friday, so I can spot a good deal from a dud. If you’re after AirPods at their lowest-ever price, you can count on me to be the first to report on the discount.

I work alongside an experienced team of deal hunters and together we track down the best AirPods offers available right now. At IndyBest, the team has reviewed every pair of AirPods, so we can confidently vouch for their performance. Though we want to find the biggest discounts, we always prioritise the quality of the products first.

With impressive sound and noticeably better noise cancellation than the first-generation pro earbuds, the AirPods Pro 2 also feature touch controls on the buds themselves. In his review, tech critic David Phelan said: “Noise-cancelling was good enough to reduce continuous sounds such as engine noise on a train”.

The price of the earbuds has recently dropped to £199, so now could be the time to buy if you’ve been holding out for a reduction.

Apple AirPods 4

Crowned the “best-value Airpods ever” by tech critic David Phelan in his review of Apple’s AirPods 4, these buds come with “excellent” sound quality and “great” battery life. “The regular AirPods 4 are the direct successor to AirPods second-generation and represent a very big upgrade for almost the same price,” David said. “They do more, they sound better and they look neater than the second-gen model.” You can currently pick up the AirPods 4 for just shy of £120 at John Lewis, Argos and Currys.

Apple AirPods Max

If over-ear headphones are more your thing, the AirPods Max might the pair for you. It’s tricky to find good deals on these, but the silver model is currently on sale with £70 off, which is the best price out there right now.

In my review of the Apple AirPods Max, I praised the headphones for their excellent coverage, which results in an exceedingly good amount of passive noise cancellation, without even having to turn on ANC – even better than some of the active noise-cancelling headphones I’ve tried. I also loved their spatial audio – a feature that means sounds come from all directions around your head.
