River Island launches fashion range for dogs

British fashion store River Island have launched a new fashion range exclusively for dogs.

The eight-piece collection comes just in time for the winter chill, but this isn’t any old bunch of canine coats - it's high-end doggy couture.

RI Dog features a line-up of garments inspired by real-life trends, with a khaki green bomber being peak human-pup hybrid fashion.

For the edgy, a khaki camouflage hoodie comes emblazoned with the word “Bronx” across the back, super soft fabric and sassy contrast panelling, while a customary cable knit would suit the more modest mutts - it’s available in dusty pink or black too.

With temperatures plummeting, humans aren't alone in their quest for something cosy - short haired dogs everywhere hanker for some extra warmth on their morning walks.

If novelty is more your pup's thing then perhaps a stripy tee will do the trick. They come in either pink or electric blue, with a winky-face emoji and dog-bone patches alongside a playful slogan that reads, “Take it Easy…I do.”

Similarly, with Christmas round the corner, River Island are well aware that you can’t leave your canine out of the family snap. Alas, a red, black and white turtleneck jumper finished with reindeer motif will have them putting their best paw forward.
