Get a comfy night’s sleep for less with my pick of this month’s top mattress offers (The Independent)

We all know how essential a good night’s sleep is for our health, but with a quality mattress costing hundreds (if not thousands) of pounds, it’s probably not a purchase you’re thrilled about making. Fortunately, there are often solid deals that can help you upgrade your sleep setup for a fraction of the price. I’ve scoured the top retailers to bring you the best mattress deals from the likes of Eve Sleep, Dusk, Nectar and more.

As someone who tests mattresses for a living, one of the main pieces of advice I can give you is to consider your sleeping style when choosing a new mattress. Everyone is different – whether you sleep on your back or your side, if you toss and turn or you’re out like a light in five minutes, there’s a mattress out there for you. Over the years, I’ve tested a wide variety of beds, so check out my guide to the best mattresses of 2026, which includes everything from memory foam options to firm mattresses and hybrid designs.

The good news is, some of my favourite top-rated mattresses are currently on sale, so you can trust that you’re scoring a great one for a fair price. Keep scrolling for the very best mattress deals you can shop right now.

Best mattress deals for January 2026

Nectar premier hybrid mattress: Was £719, now £674, Nectarsleep.co.uk

(Nectar)

If you’re looking for a mattress with medium firmness, this is my top choice, and it’s on sale with a modest discount. Unlike many memory foam mattresses, this one is breathable, and as I noted in my best mattresses roundup, my pressure points felt supported and my spine aligned after sleeping on this hybrid design. This is a great option for couples, as I couldn’t feel my spouse turning in the night. Nectar mattresses also come with a 365-night trial and forever warranty, which is stronger than most of its competitors. If you don’t get on with it, Nectar will let you return it free of charge.

Origin hybrid pro: Was £403, now £305, Originmattress.co.uk

(The Independent/Sarah Jones)

This mattress-in-a-box made it into my best mattress roundup, thanks to its fantastic temperature regulation and zoned support. Support-wise, the hybrid pro provided firm zoned support that, believe it or not, actually improved my partner’s snoring. He also woke up significantly free of his usual shoulder aches. Now’s a good time to buy while the mattress has nearly £100 off.

Dreamcloud luxury hybrid mattress: Was £699, now £629, Dreamcloudsleep.co.uk

(DreamCloud)

While this is one of the pricier mattresses on this list, it’s still a steal in my book, as it rivals top-end brands at a fraction of the price. The Dreamcloud luxury hybrid mattress is lightweight without compromising comfort, and as I said in my best mattresses roundup, the hybrid design combines memory foam and reinforced edge pocket springs to provide incredible support while feeling soft and comfy.

Dusk memory foam 2000 pocket sprung hybrid mattress, double: Was £310, now £264, Dusk.com

(Sarah Jones)

Dusk’s memory foam mattress is remarkably good, as I noted in my review. I put this mattress to the test over the course of a year and was surprised by how comfortable it remained. The edge support is fantastic, and it has great support on pressure points, so it’s a good choice for side sleepers.

Eve Sleep the original mattress, double: Was £649, now £324, Evesleep.co.uk

(Eve)

If you’re on the lookout for a memory foam mattress, the original mattress from Eve Sleep has 50 per cent off in all sizes at the moment. With medium-firm support and three layers of foam, plus a moisture-wicking top cover to stop you from getting too warm or clammy, it also comes with a 200-night trial, so you have plenty of time to see if it’s right for you.

For another £25 off, subscribe to Eve Sleep’s newsletter to receive a discount code straight to your inbox. If you don’t want to receive marketing emails, just unsubscribe once you’ve got the discount.
