DJ Neil Fox “snog-raped” a 15-year-old girl when he forced his tongue into her mouth at a Capital Radio roadshow, a court has heard.

The 54-year-old from Fulham allegedly pulled the teenage fan towards him at the event at Chessington World of Adventures and kissed her on the mouth. Giving evidence at Westminster Magistrates’ Court, the woman said she had never been kissed before the April 1996 roadshow.

The alleged victim said: "He put his arm around my back to sort of push me forward a bit and then put his lips up against my lips and forced my mouth open, and then put his tongue in my mouth for several seconds.

She did not expect him to react like that and did not want it to happen. She added: “I was in shock as it was happening. I remember just sort of trying to pull my head back ... He had my back it was quite forceful.”

The prosecuting barrister, John Price QC, asked the alleged victim how the incident made her feel, she replied: “I was really upset by it. I was quite confused because he walked off quite briskly. I felt I had done something wrong.”

The court heard that the woman did not tell anyone what happened until she was at university, and a couple of years later disclosed the information to some friends.

Mr Price asked her what she told them. The woman responded: "I would have said 'he stuck his tongue in my mouth - he snog-raped me', or something like that."

Foxy, also known as Dr Fox, is alleged to have sexually abused three girls younger than 16 between 1988 and 1996. As well as in public places, the offences are alleged to have taken place at the Capital Radio and Magic FM stations, where Mr Fox has worked. He left Capital FM in 2005 after working there for 18 years. Between 2001 and 2003 he served as a judge on music talent show Pop Idol alongside Simon Cowell and Pete Waterman.

Fox denies eight counts of indecent assault and two of sexual assault, all said to have taken place between 1988 and 2014. He attended court with his wife, Vicky, who sat in the public gallery listening to evidence with a group of supporters.

The trial continues.
