Two boys aged two and three have died in a house fire in Huddersfield.

Firefighters were called to a house in Alder Street, Fartown, just after 2pm on Saturday.

Their mother was able to escape with her six-year-old son, but the two boys were trapped in their bedroom.

Fire crews rescued the two boys, but they were later pronounced dead in hospital.

A fire service spokesman said the fire was not thought to be suspicious, but said investigations were ongoing.
