An attempt by Ukip to get voters in an enthusiastic mood ahead of the general election proved highly effective, but probably not in the way the party hoped.
The #WhyImVotingUkip hashtag was quickly hi-jacked on Twitter on 6 May and was transformed into an incessant stream of jokes.
People on Twitter delved into Ukip's history to bring up some of the oldies.
While some thought the party should win because it would be in their best interest.
In other Twitter news, a rare "collective typo" saw Twitter users shouting about voting in an election that happened 1,800 years ago.
