Officials say Boulder terror suspect planned attack for a year

The wife and five children of the man charged with a federal hate crime and 16 counts of attempted murder following a “targeted terror attack” in Boulder, Colorado on Sunday, have been arrested by ICE agents, according to reports.

Surgeon speaks on burn recovery for Boulder victims

A surgeon at University of Colorado Hospital has spoken about the potential recovery needed by the victims of Sunday’s brutal firebomb attack in Boulder, Colorado.

Dr. Cameron Gibson, did not reveal the current condition of the victims, but hinted generally at what patients in similar situations may go through.

“Depending on the depth of the burn, a burn might be treated with simply just pain medication, like a bad sunburn or a first-degree burn, but most burns that come to us are either second or third degree,” he told FOX31.

“They do require wound care, which can be quite involved, so we have trained nurses who specialize in burned wound care, that provide that to our patients on our unit. Then, depending on if it’s a full thickness burn, like a third-degree burn, they may need surgical treatment, which would include excision removal of the burned skin with skin grafting.”
