Diddy trial recap: Ex-assistant ‘Mia’ reveals she has ‘complex PTSD’ while testifying about harrowing sexual abuse
Ex-Combs assistant faced aggressive questioning from mogul’s lawyers on Friday in Manhattan federal court
Sean “Diddy” Combs’s former assistant “Mia” told jurors that she suffered from “complex PTSD” as she returned to the stand Friday, closing out the third week of testimony in the music mogul’s sex trafficking trial.
Direct examination of Mia, a pseudonym given to protect her identity, began again after proceedings resumed inside Manhattan federal court, but she was later aggressively cross-examined by Combs’ lawyers who sought to discredit her claims using her own social media posts.
Mia, who worked for Combs for eight years, previously alleged that she was was forced to perform a sex act on Combs and, in another incident, was allegedly raped in the spare room of his Los Angeles home.
Combs is facing sex trafficking, transportation to engage in prostitution, and racketeering conspiracy charges. Combs was arrested in September 2024 as federal authorities alleged he threatened, abused, and coerced victims “to fulfill his sexual desires” between 2004 and 2024. Combs has denied any accusations of wrongdoing.
The high-profile trial in New York has been ongoing for three weeks and attracted significant attention, including from President Donald Trump, who did not dismiss a potential pardon for Combs, should he be convicted, when asked by reporters at a press conference on Friday.

Mia recounts incident in which she and Deonte Nash tried to protect Cassie
Mia recounted one incident during which she and stylist Deonte Nash tried to jump on Sean “Diddy” Combs’s back to stop him from attacking Cassie Ventura.
Nash recounted the same incident during his testimony yesterday.
“Me and Deonte immediately jumped in and tried to stop it,” Mia said. “We were both just trying to get him off of her.”
“At some point, he had Deonte in like a position where I was like scared he was going to kill him and I jumped on his back,” she added. “He threw me against the wall so quick and so easily, and I realized we were in real danger.”
Mia recounts 2010 Prince party
Sean “Diddy” Combs’s ex-assistant Mia recounted a 2010 party hosted by musician Prince. Cassie Ventura recounted the same party in her previous testimony.
Combs had told Mia and Ventura to stay in a hotel, but the two decided to go to the party instead, she testified.
“Cass and I debated like little kids if we should sneak out of the house for probably what felt like forever,” Mia said.
When Combs arrived, he attacked Ventura.
“He caught up to her and had her on the ground,” Mia said. “He started attacking her, but Prince’s security swiftly intervened.”

A woman going by the pseudonym Mia is testifying today in Sean “Diddy” Combs’s trial.
Mia keeps looking down as she speaks, oscillating her head back and forth. She stutters a bit, especially when talking about tough memories.
The judge has warned those observing the trial not to describe Mia’s physical traits. Courtroom sketches are also banned while she’s testifying.
Mia testified that Combs threw her against the wall, into a pool, threw an ice bucket over her head and hit her arm against a door. She then paused, struggling to get the words out, before saying he sexually assaulted her multiple times.
We just heard for the third time about the 2013 incident at Ventura’s apartment in which Mia and Deonte Nash jumped on Combs’s back when he assaulted Ventura. The incident ended with a gash on Ventura’s eyebrow.
When she saw Ventura’s head hit the corner of the bed frame, Mia testified that she thought Combs was “actually going to kill her.”
She said it “was the first time I realized the severe danger we were actually in.
Throughout her testimony, she has emphasized the power and control Combs had over her and Ventura.
Mia has repeatedly said: “I had to do everything that he told me to do.” If not, there would be consequences that were “something bad, very scary.” The punishment was “unpredictable but typically pretty terrifying,” she added.
Mia believed Diddy's authority was 'above the police'
Mia testified that she didn’t think Sean “Diddy” Combs would face consequences if she ever called the police.
“I believed that Puff’s authority was above the police,” Mia testified. “This was a period years and years before social media or ‘Me Too’ or any sort of example where someone had stood up successfully to someone in power, such as him.”
Mia added that she believed she had to keep Combs’s violence a secret as one of his employees.
“I was supposed to protect him from people,” she added.
Diddy was 'heartbroken' when Cassie dated Kid Cudi, Mia says
Mia described Sean “Diddy” Combs as “heartbroken” when he found out Cassie Ventura was dating Scott “Kid Cudi” Mescudi in 2011.
“Normally he was just angry and aggressive, and this time felt like almost this dark calm before the storm,” Mia told the jury.
Mia describes cleaning up Diddy's hotel rooms
Mia, who worked as Sean “Diddy” Combs’s assistant, told the jury she would often have to clean up his hotel rooms.
Mia said the rooms were a “nightmare” and “really nasty.” She often had to clean candle wax, glass, water, blood, oil and wet towels, she said.
Mia says Diddy pressured her to take ketamine
Mia testified that she once attended Burning Man with Sean “Diddy” Combs. There, he had separated ketamine, molly and cocaine onto three plates.
“People were taking turns going up and playing some guessing game,” Mia said.
Combs then said it was Mia’s turn, she said. When she protested, he got upset and gave her a dose he wanted her to take, Mia testified.
Mia said she then snorted the drug because she felt she had no choice.

Sean “Diddy” Combs would switch between treating Mia like a best friend and a “worthless piece of crap,” she testified today.
“He would humiliate me, curse at me, go on a rant about how incompetent and stupid I was,” she testified.
Mia said Combs often threw things at her, including spaghetti, turkey meat and a computer.

Mia told the court that she once had blood dripping down her leg because Sean “Diddy” Combs wouldn’t let her go to the bathroom to change her tampon.
Instead, Combs wanted her to go get iHop for a group of people. He then threw a bowl of spaghetti at her.
Mia said she felt “terrified, so humiliated, so confused” when he threw things at her and thought “something was wrong with me for making him this upset.”
Mia says Combs sexually assaulted her after 40th birthday celebration
Sean “Diddy” Combs’s former assistant Mia testified that he sexually assaulted her following his 40th birthday celebration.
Combs kissed her and put his hands up her dress, she testified.
“I was shocked and I froze,” Mia said. I couldn’t even process what was happening.”
In another incident around 2009 or 2010, Mia said she woke up to Combs on top of her.
“It was very quick,” she said.
She testified she didn’t want to have sex with him.
