Tommy Fury shoves Jake Paul after going nose-to-nose at weigh-in ahead of Riyadh fight

Follow live reaction after Jake Paul lost to rival Tommy Fury in an exhibition boxing match in Saudi Arabia this evening.

A close contest over eight rounds went to the judges’ scorecards and Fury won two of the three, with Paul taking the other verdict, giving the Briton a split decision victory.

The build-up to this bout was heated, with Paul leaking the news of the birth of Fury’s baby Bambi before the 23-year-old and his partner Molly-Mae Hague could make an announcement, while both fighters promised a knockout win. It all came to a head this week when Fury shoved Paul at a tense weigh-in, and the men settled their rivalry in Diriyah tonight.

Paul vowed to enact his rematch clause after the fight, and Fury said he was ready to do it all again too.

At the midway point of this fight, we have Fury up three rounds to one.

The fighters trade jabs. Paul is on the front foot, but Fury then forces the American to retreat.

Overhand right from Paul, right hook from Fury! Both men absorb the shots well.

The referee now takes a point from Paul after the American catches Fury on the back of the head! That’s a huge moment, and means Paul surely needs a knockout now...

Fury lands a right cross then follows up with a flurry of fast shots! He throws a heavy left hook as Paul covers up.

The pair clinch briefly. They separate, and Fury lands a short right hook, then a one-two! Good stuff from the Briton!

Nice footwork from Fury, too, to evade a lunging move from Paul. Now Paul lands a left hook, before missing with a wild overhand right.

Paul turns away from Fury and receives a hard, hard cross to the back of the head. Ouch.

The fighters clinch before being separated. Paul gets through with a right cross up top, then a body shot.

An overhand right lands for Paul as Fury steps in to close range!

That might just be Paul’s round, after Fury likely took the first two.

Fury with another stinging jab. Still Paul comes forward.

Paul lunges in with hooks, and he catches Fury with a left hand! The Briton absorbs it well, however.

Another stun-gun jab from Fury. The 23-year-old throws a combination, connecting with a right hand on the end of it.

His face is a bit red, too, though. Paul jabs to the body. A left hook comes back from Fury.

Paul misses with a winging overhand and eats a hook in return! Fury misses with a right hook.

Paul again misses the target with an overhand, and the response is a hook from Fury.
