The full-time whistle blows to a chorus of boos as Bournemouth suffer late heartbreak as they draw 1-1 against Manchester United at the Vitality Stadium. Antoine Semenyo had sent the Cherries' on their way in the first half after rifling in an effort from a deft Evanilson backheel in the penalty area. The home side started the second half positively with Dango Ouattara seeing his free-kick crash off Andre Onana's crossbar. However, things took a turn for the worst for Andoni Iraola's men as Evanilson was shown a straight red card after colliding with Noussair Mazraoui. Peter Bankes initially gave a yellow card but VAR advised the referee to head to the monitor before he changed his original decision. With a man advantage, the Red Devils looked for an equaliser and were eventually rewarded in additional time as Manual Ugarte's shot was tapped into the net by Rasmus Hojlund. The result sees Bournemouth remain in 10th place with their European aspirations for next season taking a hit. For Ruben Amorim's side, they languish in 14th place and will turn their attention to Thursday's UEFA Europa League first leg semi-final tie with Athletic Club. Bournemouth's lack of finishing in the final third was reflected through an xG of 0.67, whereas the away side's ability to create opportunities in front of the Bournemouth goal were highlighted through an xG of 2.44. THAT WAS CLOSE! Bournemouth are really struggling here as the ball is recycled to Fernandes outside the penalty area before the Manchester United captain fires in a shot which hits the side netting. That effort was curling towards goal and Kepa had no chance!

ANOTHER CHANCE FOR THE RED DEVILS! This time it is Obi who finds some space in the Bournemouth penalty area with the former Arsenal youth forward stabbing a shot straight at Kepa with the Bournemouth goalkeeper parrying the shot away from goal!

SO CLOSE FOR UNITED! Dorgu delivers a low cross from the left flank to Mount, who decides to take a touch before shooting with his right-foot, however Sensi is in the way to make a block. That was a crucial block as it seemed Mount had equalised for the Red Devils.
