Newcastle have an expected goal rate of 1.79 in the first half, with stand out performances from Wilson and Gordon. If it was not for Muric, the scoreline couldd be four, five, or more. It's hard to see the Clarets coming back in this second-half and the damage has already been done, it's now a question of damage limitations and keeping the score as little as they can, with Newcastle having five players getting a goal involvement they are not showing any signs of slowing down anytime soon.

Flying at Turf Moor and flying into the top six as Newcastle run riot against struggling Burnley. It was a slow start for the visitors, and Burnley were managing to pressure the Magpies, but their chances came to nothing and they couldn't find the back of the net. Newcastle were clinical, impressive and damaging. After Callum Wilson scored their opening goal, Burnley fell apart, and that's not something you can do when you are fighting in the relegation battle.
