Meanwhile Luton Town are making their first appearance in the Premier League, having risen from non-league in an incredible decade of progress. They followed Championship winners Burnley and second-placed Sheffield United in earning promotion to the top flight.

Since losing 6-0 to Chelsea, Everton have won three and drawn one of their four Premier League games. They last had a longer run without defeat between August and October 2022 (six). They have been in complete control so far and have not really been troubled by the Blades' attack.

OVER! What a chance for the Blades! Lowe and Robinson combine with some quick passes down the left before the latter of the pair whips a left-footed cross into the box. Brereton-Diaz gets above his marker but heads over under pressure.

CHANCE! The Blades play the ball around neatly on the edge of Everton's box before it rolls out to Souza on the right. The Brazilian then attempts to curl a first-time cross towards the back post but sends it straight out for a goal-kick.

Hamer is looking to make things happen for the Blades, this time rolling a throughball down the left side of the box to Brereton-Diaz. He holds off Coleman before getting a shot away, but Tarkowski gets across to make a strong block.
