Delap gets the ball into the box, trying to pick out Philogene. Wellington tracks back, and is able to intercept it and play it to his keeper. However, the Southampton man appears to have hurt himself in the process of breaking up the pass.

Ipswich make a couple of attempts to get a shot off in the Southampton box, but a yellow shirt is able to get in and intercept each time. The hosts are pressing for the winner at this stage, and still have the ball in their opponents' half of the pitch.

A yellow card is awarded to Bednarek, who is turned by Delap and brings his marker down. The worst part of it for Southampton is that Ipswich have a free-kick just outside of their box.
