Transfer news: Arsenal could lose Mesut Ozil, Paul Pogba’s United message, Paulo Dybala latest
The transfer window may have shut in England but that doesn’t mean that Premier League clubs can’t sell players – and sides from around Europe will be attempting to unsettle their stars ahead of their own deadline.
Manchester United’s Paul Pogba, Arsenal’s Mesut Ozil and Tottenham’s Christian Eriksen have all been linked with big money moves away this month, while there is plenty of other business left to complete. Juventus are looking to offload Paulo Dybala while the future of Neymar – the most expensive player in the history of the game – is still up in the air. Could he yet leave PSG for a return to Spain?
Transfer deadlines
Italy’s Serie A is the next big transfer deadline. The Italian window shuts on 23 August.
The transfer window in La Liga, the Bundesliga and Ligue 1 meanwhile shuts on 2 September.

Bayern Munich have announced the signing of Croatia international Ivan Perisic.
The World Cup runner-up joins on loan from Inter Milan with immediate effect.
Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich signed Croatia winger Ivan Perisic on loan for a season from Inter Milan on Tuesday after a widely expected move by Manchester City's Leroy Sane fell through due to the player's knee injury.
A 2018 World Cup finalist, Perisic, who also played for Borussia Dortmund and VfL Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga between 2011 and 2015, will play for Bayern starting on Friday.
Bayern have an option to buy him next season.
The Croat, 30, will reinforce Bayern's wings along with Serge Gnabry and Kingsley Coman following the departures of veterans Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery.
Coman has also been plagued by serious injuries since joining the Bavarians two years ago.
"Ivan will instantly help us with his top level experience," said Bayern sports director Hasan Salihamidzic in a statement.
"He is skilled and is flexible up front. I am certain he will quickly integrate because he knows the Bundesliga and also our coach Niko Kovac."
Bayern had publicly expressed an interest to sign City winger Sane but the 23-year-old Germany international tore his anterior cruciate ligament in the Community Shield win over Liverpool at Wembley earlier this month.
The German champions, beaten by Dortmund in the German Super Cup earlier this month, kick off their Bundesliga campaign against Hertha Berlin on Friday.
Hearts have signed Manchester United goalkeeper Joel Pereira on a season-long loan deal.
The 23-year-old joined United in 2012 and has made three first-team appearances.
The former Portugal Under-21 international has also had loan spells with Rochdale, Portuguese clubs Belenenses and Vitoria Setubal plus Belgian side Kortrijk.
The 6ft 2in goalkeeper will compete with Zdenek Zlamal and Colin Doyle for a starting place at Tynecastle.
Both goalkeepers had spells as number one last season, with Zlamal playing all six competitive matches so far this term.
