Garnacho still in Manchester United squad despite transfer rumours

Manchester United have finally reached the end of a wretched campaign, earning a comeback victory over Hong Kong in the driving rain.

Hong Kong, the 153rd-ranked nation in the world, took a surprise early lead against the run of play through Juninho, and led at the break. But United hit back in the second half through Chido Obi’s double after coming off the bench, and defender Ayden Heaven headed home a late third to wrap up the win.

United fielded a young team with several teenagers on the pitch, but also gave minutes to veterans Tom Heaton and Jonny Evans on their final outings as United players.

62 min: Ayden Heaven attempts a crossfield pass but it goes straight out of play. This game is lacking any real flow right now.

GOAL! Hong Kong 1-1 Man United (Obi, 50)

United are level, and it comes through the substitute Chido Obi. He receives the ball with his back to goal near the edge of the box, shifts it on to his left foot and smashes a low finish past the goalkeeper. Neatly done.

Half-time: Hong Kong 1-0 Man United

Just watching the goal again and it really is poor from Tom Heaton, who should get down and parry that away at his near post. He has made only three competitive appearances in four years back at United, and it showed there.
