Manchester United have stormed their way to a maiden Women’s FA Cup victory, with a dominant 4-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur.
It took until the stroke of half time for the breakthrough to happen, after an even start to the match. Ella Toone scored a stunning individual curled effort into the top corner, to steer her side into a position they never let go of.
In the second half, United picked up where they left off, with Rachel Williams’ header adding a second, before a catastrophic howler from Rebecca Spencer, who played the ball straight into the path of Lucia Garcia, allowing the United player to add a quickfire third.
From that point, the result was never in doubt, and Garcia added a late fourth to secure the title for Marc Skinner’s side
