Nottingham Forest vs Chelsea
With Badiashile and Gallagher booked, and the threat of Hudson-Odoi and Gibbs-White’s pace ever-present, Pochettino may look to make a change in the middle of the park and protect his players. Colwill or Ugochukwu could be called upon, while Nkunku may be given a chance to influence the match at the top-end of the pitch in his return from injury. Awoniyi is an obvious replacement for Wood at striker for Nottingham Forest, while the hosts could further stretch the match by introducing Elanga. Yates has picked up a few knocks in the first half and could need replacing as the game wears on, with Dominguez able to control the tempo from midfield effectively.
Nottingham Forest vs Chelsea
45 minutes at the City Ground isn’t enough to separate Nottingham Forest and Chelsea, who head into the half-time interval level at 1-1, and almost equal on expected goals (0.69 to 0.73). The first opportunity of the game fell to Wood just two minutes in but Petrovic’s clever reading of the game denied the forward a goal in 120 seconds. Six minutes later, Chelsea were ahead, thanks to Mudryk’s clever finish after a Palmer assist; his 11th of the season. It wouldn’t be long before Nuno’s side pulled back level however, with Gibbs-White finding Boly alone at the far post from a free-kick to give the hosts the equaliser. Nottingham Forest were the more dangerous side by volume in the opening period, hitting 10 shots - three on target - despite seeing less than 30 per cent possession, while Pochettino’s team scored with their first effort and have only managed to test Sels twice.

Aina puts the ball out of play after Madueke is left on the ground holding his face after a tackle from Yates, which was well-timed by a bit awkward. The decision has been met by a chorus of boos from the home support, with the referee not signalling for a free-kick.

The fourth official indicates five minutes will be added to the end of the half for stoppages.

Palmer’s assist today takes him to 31 goal involvements (21 goals and 11 assists), which is level with Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins for the Premier League lead.

Palmer’s inswinging corner again towards the near post is popped up in the air by Gallagher, who pushes through the back of Chalobah in order to get his head to the ball. It’s a determined attempt from the midfielder but it’s easily plucked out of the air by Sels, who relieves the pressure.
Nottingham Forest vs Chelsea
Play is once again stopped for Yates, with the Nottingham Forest captain receiving wrapping and ice on his lower leg. He appears to have been caught accidentally by Montiel during an attempted sliding block on Badiashile’s shot, but should manage to see out the half.
Nottingham Forest vs Chelsea
Hudson-Odoi’s clearance from near his left corner-flag is intercepted rather easily by Badiashile on the far side, with the centre-back using the opportunity to have a go at goal. He strikes his shot cleanly but fails to trouble Sels, with the effort heading over the crossbar for a goal-kick.
