Follow live coverage as Nottingham Forest face Leicester City today in the Premier League. Another top-flight season will be covered in full right here with The Independent, as reigning champions Manchester City look to make it an unprecedented five titles in a row come the end of 2024/25.

The likes of Arsenal and Liverpool will be chasing Pep Guardiola's side, but just as fascinating will be the race for Champions League places, with more teams than ever before having designs on top-four finishes. Chelsea remain big-spending, Manchester United's latest rebuild continues and both Tottenham and Newcastle will expect improvements this year - yet it was Aston Villa who snared fourth last term.

Meanwhile, it's Southampton, Leicester City and Ipswich Town who made it back to the elite after promotion last year and each will have hope they can make it more than a one-year stay. Follow the latest live action from the Premier League below:

Nottingham Forest vs Leicester City

A fiery Premier League encounter sees the points shared as Nottingham Forest missed a huge chance to take command of the Champions league hunt with two games remaining. The electric Gibbs-White cancelled out Coady’s opener with a 25th-minute header before curling a delightful cross onto the head of Wood 10 minutes into the second half to give the home side the lead and Wood his 20th Premier League goal of the season. But Leicester responded admirably, finishing much the stronger of the two sides. Buonanotte equalised 10 minutes from time with a well taken effort and the visitors could have had two more late on as 15-year-old Monga, and then Kristiansen, went agonisingly close. Leicester’s 1.08 xG compared to Forest’s 1.31 xG shows how evenly matched the sides were on the day. Forest remain seventh, behind Aston Villa, Chelsea and Newcastle with West Ham and Chelsea to play. Whilst Leicester face Ipswich and Bournemouth in their final two Premier League games before relegation. Thank you for following this live coverage and we’ll see you again soon!

SO NEARLY A SPECIAL MOMENT FOR THE TEENAGER! Leicester counter sharply and Vardy's run is halted inside the area but the ball only falls as far as Monga who runs onto it and hits a sweet first time effort goalwards but Sels is equal to it and just manages to push it past the post.

There are plenty of concerned faces on the pitch here as Awoniyi continues to suffer. He is on his feet but doubled over in pain. That looked seriously painful.
