38 mins: Chance for Can! Liverpool smartly work a move from the left corner into the box, and as Origi drags the defence towards goal, a charging Can arrives with perfect timing on the edge of the area to meet the ball. However, his effort is an absolute howler, and it nearly goes out for a throw-in...

40 mins: Benteke goes down in the area...and he's booked! The former Liverpool striker clearly throws himself to the turf as he chases a lost cause - the ball was going out for a goal kick - and he is given a yellow card for his theatrics.

43 mins: Cabaye breaks away down the right wing after being released by Tomkins, and his inch-perfect low cross allows Christian Benteke to stroke the ball home against his former side and level the scores. It's probably not what Palace deserve, but it's so typically Liverpool to concede after scoring.

Half-time: As Hennessey pumps a free-kick into the Liverpool area, referee Andre Marriner blows his whistle to bring an entertaining first half to a close. Liverpool have been guilty of wasting their chances, and despite Coutinho's virtuoso free-kick to open the scoring, they were caught napping to allow Benteke a free shot at goal to level the scores.

It's all to play for at Anfield!

50 mins: Klopp's applauding again as Coutinho goes close from just inside the area, and the Anfield crowd sound their appreciation. The game is beginning to open up, which to be honest will suit both teams.

52 mins: Big chance for Coutinho! He dribbles his way into the box past Puncheon before putting the ball between Ward's legs. He can get the shot away, but decides to cut in two more defenders before firing the shots and it's blocked for a corner. From Milner's cross, Lucas chests the ball down but fiures his snap-shot over the bar.

59 mins: Quick feet from Mignolet sees the Palace goalkeeper scramble off his line and beat Firmino to Lucas's weighted through-ball, but Liverpool are looking dangerous here.

4 - Christian Benteke has scored four goals in his previous three Premier League games at Anfield as an opposition player. Haunt.
