Transfer news live: Liverpool step up interest in Kylian Mbappé and Dusan Tadic plus latest gossip and done deals
All the latest news, rumours and gossip from around the Premier League and the rest of Europe
The transfer window hasn't even swung open for business yet but that hasn't stopped teams up and down the country getting their business done early.
Manchester City are the biggest spenders so far, having already blown £43m on the Monaco midfielder Bernardo Silva, as well as a world-record amount on a goalkeeper: £35m for Benfica's Ederson. They've also dumped a number of older players on free transfers, including Willy Caballero, Gael Clichy, Jesus Navas, Bacary Sagna and Pablo Zabaleta.
Liverpool are closing in on a deal for Mohamed Salah as they continue to negotiate with Roma over a fee but it looks unlikely they will be adding Virgil van Dijk after being forced to apologise to Southampton for an illegal approach.
Manchester United have money to spend too but may be forced to shell out as much as £70m for one of Alvaro Morata and Andrea Belotti as they chase a new No.9. Meanwhile Chelsea's main man, Diego Costa, looks to be on his way after being told he is surplus to requirements by manager Antonio Conte.
We will have all the latest throughout the day here so don't touch that dial.

Adebayor's barb
Emmanuel Adebayor has described joining Crystal Palace as the "worst decision of my career".
“I had some great experiences in England in clubs who are among the best in the country. I was happy there, my family too.
"The only error that I made was to sign for Crystal Palace in January 2016.
"I did it just to please my entourage, who were saying to me: 'Manu, you have to start playing again!' It was the worst decision of my career.”
Everton's Sandro saga continues
There are rumours in the Spanish press that the Malaga striker Sandro is nearing a move to Everton.
With Romelu Lukaku on his way out of the club, Everton are lining up potential replacements. And Sandro is near the front of that queue.
It helps that his release clause is set at just £5.2m, which is ludicrously low given that he scored 16 goals in 31 La Liga appearances last season.
The ex-Barcelona striker had previously been linked with a move to Atletico Madrid, but now that the club's transfer ban has been upheld he may be forced into a move to the Premier League.
Arsenal transfer news
Gianluigi Buffon has seemingly confirmed that Juventus will sign Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny.
The Pole has been on loan at Serie A rivals Roma for the past two season but is still an Arsenal player.
Buffon said: “It’s right that Juve want Szczesny and that there is a good player like Donnarumma at the national team.
“For me, it will be a great motivation twice because, although I am 39-40 years, I have to maintain my place. If I no longer want to play, I’ll stay at home because
Donnarumma and Szczesny are good goalkeepers by merit, not because someone gave them something.”
