Kieffer Moore’s goal at the Cardiff City Stadium ensured Rob Page’s side secured a play-off spot as seeds
Wales drew 1-1 with Belgium to secure home advantage in their World Cup play-off semi-final.
Kevin De Bruyne silenced a noisy Cardiff crowd inside 12 minutes, but Kieffer Moore equalised before half-time to give Wales the point they craved.
Already guaranteed a play-off spot through their Nations League results, Wales were determined to secure a home tie in March by finishing second in Group E.
The point was enough to finish above the Czech Republic and take their place among the six seeded teams in the play-offs. Turkey needed to win by four goals in Montenegro to deny Wales a home tie but could only manage a 2-1 victory.

Williams then attempts a crossfield kick looking for Roberts that runs out of play, but gets Wales out (as if he was Dan Biggar).
Ramsey has put in some shift and is replaced late on by Brennan Johnson.

The Czechs now lead by two, which means Wales will drop to third in the group if Belgium score and take the play-off seeding from them, too.

Casteels make an excellent finger-tip stop to divert is past the post - but that’s the closest Wales have come to taking the lead.

81 mins: Brilliant pace from James. After Morrell wins the ball back on the edge of the Wales box, the winger glides past Witsel and looks to have the beating of Dendoncker too until he is brought to ground. Dendoncker is booked.

Thankfully for Wales the striker is not one of those who are in danger of missing the play-off semi-final, as he has just returned from suspension himself.

Belgium then give it away cheaply on the edge and Boyata makes another block, this time to deny Moore as he tried to cut the ball back across goal!

75 mins: The pace of the match has really slowed, which suits Wales as a point would be enough for them to book a home play-off semi-final as it stands.
Belgium don’t look to be in a rush, either.

73 mins: De Bruyne has dropped deeper as Belgium search for a winner. I’m sure Pep Guardiola won’t be too happy seeing his player remain out on the pitch for this long, and I think Wales fans would join him in hoping he is given some rest by Martinez soon!
