West Ham vs Tottenham LIVE: Premier League result, final score and reaction today
Follow all the fallout from the derby at the London Stadium
West Ham secured a huge London derby win over Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday afternoon, edging their rivals 1-0 thanks to a second-half Michail Antonio goal.
David Moyes’ men moved into the top four of the Premier League with the home victory, making it back-to-back wins this week after their comfortable Europa League outing against Genk on Thursday. Tottenham, meanwhile, suffered their second straight loss, following their defeat by Vitesse in the Europa Conference League – also on Thursday. The result saw Nuno Espirito Santo’s team drop to sixth in the table, too, as the Portuguese’s time as Spurs boss continues to disappoint fans of the north London club.
While the match at the London Stadium largely lacked the fireworks that this fixture so often produces, Antonio provided the spark for West Ham celebrations in the 72nd minute, when he stuck out a leg to convert an Aaron Cresswell corner at the near post. It was Antonio’s sixth goal of the season – his fifth in the Premier League – and marked Cresswell’s third assist of the week after his contributions in the home win against Genk. Follow all the fallout from West Ham’s Premier League victory over rivals Tottenham Hotspur below.
West Ham 0 - 0 Tottenham
I said before kick off that this might be a fixture decided by the opening goal. It’s been a close fought affair so far with both teams creating chances but unable to convert.
It hasn’t been an electric, overly-exciting match. A lot of the first half was contested in the middle of the pitch with both teams having their periods on the ball.
The game needs a goal to up the intensity. Neither team will want to lose this one.
Half-time: West Ham 0 - 0 Tottenham
45+1 mins: Goalless at half-time then but chances created at both ends. Tottenham ended the half as the better team by a very slim margin. The quality of their chances being slighty better.
Kane, Son and Ndombele all had fantastic opportunities inside the box but Fabianski denied them. Cresswell and Fornals have looked good for West Ham and there’s a real battle developing between Antonio and Romero.
Nothing to separate the teams yet though.

42 mins: Chance! Lucas Moura slides the ball up to Kane who shifts it out to Reguilon on the left wing. The defender takes him time with the cross and picks out Ndombele’s run into the six-yard area. 39 mins: There’s an opportunity for Tottenham to break in behind after Ndombele prods the ball into the box from high up the pitch. The ball has already gone as Ogbonna clips Ndombele knocking him over and giving Spurs a free kick high up the pitch.
Ogbonna is booked for the challenge and the free kick is curled the box. Antonio’s header drops to Ndombele who shoots and wins a corner when Zouma blocks his effort.

36 mins: Chance! West Ham’s best opportunities have come from the left side. Cresswell and Fornals are linking up beautifully to create enough space to cross the ball. Fornals whips one in this time as Soucek runs into the box from deep. Reguilon is marking Bowen and doesn’t see Soucek’s approach letting the big midfielder leap in front of him to meet to the cross. He gets a good chunk of the ball with his headed effort but sends it wide of the back post.

33 mins: West Ham work the ball down the left and Antonio tries to drive into the box. He’s forced to knock the ball back to Bowen who flicks a header onto Soucek. Soucek chips the ball over to the right side of the box where Johnson runs onto the pass and smokes it wide of the near post going for power over accuracy.
West Ham 0 - 0 Tottenham
30 mins: Tottenham have started to take over in terms of possession with West Ham’s attacking play primarily coming on the counter-attack. It’s a tactical battle at the minute with neither team really getting on top of the other.

27 mins: Johnson sends a throw in up to Antonio who brings it down and gets dragged to the floor by Oliver Skipp. West Ham win a free kick and take it quickly working the ball over to the left side to try a hit Spurs unawares but the visitors regain their shape quickly and force the Hammers to retreat.

24 mins: Big chance! Benrahma sends the ball up to Antonio but he’s pressed immediatel by Romero who wins the ball and pokes to Ndombele. Ndombele makes perfect pass into the right side of the box as Son flies through the defensive line. He takes over possession as Kane makes a run to the back post. Son goes for goal but doesn’t beat the goalkeeper and Kane throws his arms up in the air. He was wide open!
