mins: NO TRY! Arnold is guilty of obstruction and it's chalked off!

mins: So Farrell sends the penalty kick to touch as England breath a sigh of relief, but it's got a bit worse for the tourists as Burrell is forced off injured. That means George Ford will come on at 10 with Farrell moving to 12. Youngs takes off! He passes to Vunipola, and Pocock comes in around the side to concede another penalty. Poite is losing his patience as it's the third time Australia gave let ill-discipline get the better of them in the red zone. Farrell goes for goal...

mins: That's turned this match on its head! Israel Folau takes a high kick, but chucks the ball inside to no one and Farrell and Jospeh are onto it. Kuridrani is trying to chaase back, but Jonathan Joseph kicks the ball on, takes the catch and dives over for the try. Farrell converts and England, somehow, lead 10-16.

mins: Tensions flare again as Australia win a penalty for Cole angling in at the scrum. Nothing in it, but Foley keeps his cool to finally nail a kick and reduce the gap. 13-16.

mins: Chance missed for England, and you can only applaud Haylett-Petty. Robshaw offlaods the ball beautifully to Farrell who floats a pass over to Yarde in space. He turns the afterburners on, and Haylett-Petty charges onto him and drags him down. That saved a certain try, and he's having some debut.

mins: The tables turn. Sio is penalised this time for going down in the scrum, and Farrell has the chance to reinstate the six-point lead as the hooter sounds.

Half-time: Farrell boots the ball through the posts and England head for the chaning room with a 13-19 lead. A brilliantly competitive half.
