The building dates back to Victorian times when it was a nurses' home for a nearby hospital, and there is a beautiful redbrick façade. The hotel feels luxurious and rooms in the old part of the building at the front have some original features. There are quirky and individual design elements throughout the communal spaces and in bedrooms - for example unusual furniture, light fittings, curtains, mirrors and headboards.
