OUR REVIEW

THE NEIGHBOURHOOD

The Wilder is on a quiet tree-lined street around 15 minutes' walk from Grafton Street and 20 minutes from Trinity College. The townhouse is located on a pleasant street of Victorian and Georgian buildings which mostly contain offices. It is away from the buzz and noise of the city centre.

By plane: direct flights to Dublin from Manchester and Birmingham (1 hour), and London (1 hour 15 minutes). It's a 30-minute drive to the hotel. Free parking on-site. Book flights to Dublin.

THE LOOK AND FEEL

This is a beautiful old redbrick Victorian building which has been converted into a boutique hotel. Rooms are all different and many have original features such as fireplaces, sash windows and high ceilings. The building has been beautifully refurbished and there's a gorgeous design theme throughout - exposed brick walls have wooden panels with richly patterned wallpaper, and there are unique light fittings in public areas. A lot of thought has gone into every detail from wallpapers and light fittings, to artwork and objects placed in each room.

THE FACILITIES

There is a small bar and lounge leading to a conservatory area which opens out onto an outdoor terrace for when the weather is warm. There is no restaurant but there is a light bites menu and also a great selection of cocktails, gins and teas on the bar menu.
