While you may express love for your gal pals on the daily, Galentine’s Day – the day before Valentine’s Day – provides an ideal opportunity to celebrate them just that little bit more.

For the uninitiated, the term was coined in 2010 by Parks and Recreation’s Leslie Knope, who is played by Amy Poehler. “It’s ladies celebrating ladies,” she says in the episode.

Just because it’s not an official event, that doesn’t mean it’s not an important one to honour, particularly when you may not have seen your nearest and dearest in a long while. And, in our opinion, any opportunity for female empowerment is positive.

While technically a birthday card, we think there’s no better way to show your appreciation for your gal pal than with this “sisterhood” design. Owing to the fact you can personalise the message inside, it can also be sent directly to your friend's house – win, win. Printed on high white premium paper with an uncoated finish, we think this would even look great framed once the message on the inside had been enjoyed.
