Manchester United beat their bitter rivals Liverpool in the most extraordinary FA Cup quarter-final at Old Trafford
Manchester United produced a stunning comeback to beat Liverpool 4-3 in an epic FA Cup quarter-final as Amad Diallo scored an 120th winner to deny Jurgen Klopp’s side their quadruple bid.
Diallo scored a breakaway goal at the death - and was then sent off for taking his shirt off in celebration - to send United through to Wembley in a dramatic finish at Old Trafford.
Liverpool had been minutes from the semi-finals, in what is Klopp’s final season at Anfield, but Marcus Rashford scored a 112th minute equaliser in extra time, before Diallo’s remarkable winner.
United will play Coventry City in the semi-finals, while the FA Cup draw handed holders Manchester City a Wembley date with Chelsea.

Diallo wins the ball on the edge of the box after a mix-up between the Liverpool players. United break and Garnacho carries it into the Liverpool half. As they approach the box he lays it off to Diallo, who takes it wide and hits his shot across goal. It’s weak but it goes across Kelleher and into the corner!

Liverpool lose it cheaply as Diallo wins possession. He squares it to McTominay, who then plays in Rashford. He rifles it past Kelleher and into the bottom corner.
110 mins: Liverpool break but Nunez takes too long and Amad dispossesses him. The ball goes long again but Garnacho can’t control it. United are having to gamble with the long balls, but van Dijk and Quansah look quite comfortable.

Rashford wins a free-kick on halfway after being dragged down by Quansah. The ball drops to Maguire and he manages to get a shot off in the box, but it’s straight at Kelleher.
