The Rock, John Cena, The Undertaker and many more starred at the biggest WWE show of the year
The biggest wrestling show of the year has come and gone: WWE’s two-night extravaganza, WrestleMania.
WrestleMania 40 played out at Philadelphia’s Lincoln Financial Field on Saturday and Sunday, and the card was stacked.
The main event of night one saw Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson competing fully in WWE for the first time in 11 years, as he teamed with his ‘cousin’ Roman Reigns to beat Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins. Due to The Rock and Reigns’s victory, the latter’s Universal Championship defence against Rhodes – the main event of night two – was ‘anything goes’, meaning plenty of interferences.
And the most notable interferences came from WWE legends John Cena and The Undertaker, who thwarted The Rock and enabled Rhodes to beat Reigns – marking the end a four-year title reign.

A couple of big lads have just arrived, wearing Rey Mysterio masks, to aid the legend!
Back in the ring, Mysterio lands a 619 and a splash from the top rope to pin Escobar!
But who are in the masks? Recently-retired NFL star Jason Kelce and teammate Philadelphia Eaglers teammate Lane Johnson!!!

Escobar hoists Rey up on his shoulders, but Rey flips and takes his opponent with him, slamming him down to the mat!
Rey uses this moment to tag in Andrade, who runs all around the ring, launching himself at Dom and Escobar. Dom ends up sat in one corner, and Andrade runs knee-first at the controversial star!
Andrade then climbs the ring post and backflips off it, but Dom rolls out of the way. Dom and Andrade tag in Escobar and Rey, respectively.
Rey with some high-flying attacks, and he goes for the 619 on Escobar! It connects! Andrade with a backflip off the top rope to Dom, outside the ring!
Back in the ring, Escobar is able to get back on top in his battle with Rey.

Lots of high-flying moves early on from Rey and Escobar, who is soon replaced by Dominik. Lots of tags, too, so Rey and Dominik don’t share the ring for long.
Rey climbs on Andrade’s shoulders on the corner post, facing outside the ring, and Andrade flies at the pair’s opponents! What a unique move!
Back in the ring, Rey threatens to whip Dominik with his belt, but Dom counters. Escobar tags in and beats up Rey.
Escobar places Rey on the ring post and tries to take off the legend’s mask, but Rey fights back. Even so, Escobar is on top.

Next up, Rey Mysterio and Andrade face Santos Escobar and Dominik Mysterio!
Last year, Rey Mysterio defeated his son Dominik in a one-on-one match. This evening, they meet again – but in a tag-team bout.

Priest slowly climbs the ladder, but The Miz races up to join him... Priest tries a chokeslam off the ladder, but he botches it slightly to be honest, and the fall is quite gentle.
R-Truth throws Priest out of the ring and climbs the ladder, completely alone... and grabs the remaining belts! R-Truth and Miz claim the Raw tag-team titles!
That follows Theory and Waller winning the Smackdown belts!

Gargano just DDTed Dunne off the ring apron and through one of the tables! Wow!
Back in the ring, Ciampa just hoisted Bate on his back – at the top of a very tall ladder – and jumped off!!! “Holy s***” chants from the Philly crowd. That was wild.
R-Truth scurries into the ring and lines up a ladder... but his rival JD McDonagh interferes in the match, slamming R-Truth off the ladder and helping his own teammate Balor up the ladder.
But Woods and Kingston pull McDonagh and Balor down! Kingston is wielding a steel chair!
McDonagh climbs the ladder again, but the New Day throw him off, and he flies out of the ring and through the remaining pair of tables!

Oh, no! Waller, with the titles still on his shoulders, is pulled off the ladder by Dunne and Bate... who powerbomb him over the top rope and THROUGH a flat ladder outside the ring!
The crowd chants for tables, and Gargano and Ciampa get one from under the ring! And another! On the other side of the ring, R-Truth sets up a table, too.
Back in the ring, Woods jumps off the top rope with an elbow drop on Ciampa, who is laid on a ladder, which is suspended between the ropes and the rungs of a bigger ladder!
Kingston climbs said bigger ladder, but instead of grabbing the remaining belts, he jumps backwards – out of the ring and onto a sea of bodies!

Bate and Dunne climb a ladder outside the ring, and they both backflip off the ladder, landing on a gaggle of opponents! Wow!
Back in the ring, Dunne tries to climb for one set of titles, but Priest powerbombs Bate into Dunne, who falls! Now Priest and Balor beat up The Miz, whose ‘tags in’ R-Truth eventually (there are no tags in this match, just R-Truth doing a bit of comedy, for reference...).
R-Truth with a series of John Cena’s most famous moves, then he ‘pins’ Balor (no pins in this match either, just more comedy from R-Truth!).
More action ensues, until Waller climbs one ladder and pulls down the blue belts! Waller and Theory are the new Smackdown Tag-Team Champions!
But there is still one set of titles to grab...

The match begins with everyone brawling in the ring, then everyone leaving the ring to grab ladders and continue fighting.
Theory and Waller are back in the ring, climbing a ladder each, but they’re pulled down, and now it’s Dunne and Bate climbing...
Woods erects a third ladder, between the other two ladders, and there are about 10 men on the three ladders!
The outer ladders fall, and Woods and Kingston are left on the middle one, but they’re soon pulled down as well.
Priest and Balor, the defending champions, beat up Bate with a pair of ladders, before Bate fights back... He has Balor flat on his shoulders – and Balor is holding a ladder on top of that. Bate spins around and gains a couple of casualties, using the ladder as a weapon!

So, for clarity: There are two sets of title belts – a blue pair and a red pair – and this match will only end when both sets have been pulled down from above the ring. The Judgment Day own both pairs of titles, but we may end up with two different champion teams when all is said and done...
A lot of entrances to get through, but finally, all six teams are in the ring...
Here we go – this could be chaos!
