OUR REVIEW

THE NEIGHBOURHOOD

Located in Tribeca, near Chinatown, SoHo and Little Italy, this is a particularly happening corner of Manhattan. The Hudson river is nearby, as are the 9/11 Memorial and museum and ferries to the Statue of Liberty. It's near the Canal Street subway station for if you want to go further afield.

By plane: flights from London, Manchester or Edinburgh to New York take 7 hours. A taxi will take one hour from JFK airport. Parking costs $35 per day. Book flights to New York.

THE LOOK AND FEEL

The electric Roxy sign outside this red-brick building suggests the colour and playfulness inside, which is chic, uber-trendy and full of variety. With a large lounge, triangular atrium, numerous lively bars and spaces to hang out, the atmosphere is often buzzing.

THE FACILITIES

There's a lot going on around the hotel. There's a gym, unisex hair salon, vintage bikes available and the 99-seat Roxy Cinema which shows classic, foreign and independent films. There are also multiple bars and eating areas, with regular DJs and live music (some are ticketed events).
