The sales started days before Boxing Day, and will continue well into January. There's no better time of the year to grab some great deals on the latest tech.

Some of the best deals to be found are within the tech sector - on everything from 4K TVs to smartwatches. Here is the pick of the discounts so far.

You can currently get a whopping £1,200 discount on this super-clear 4K TV at Currys, now for sale at £2,299.

Apple Watch – John Lewis

You can grab a saving of £50 on every Apple Watch currently on sale online at John Lewis. Prices start from £289.

LG 49UF850V Smart 3D Ultra HD 4k 49" LED TV – Currys

Here’s one of Currys’ cheaper options 4K TV options – another from LG, with a saving of £370, bringing the overall price down to £629.

Acer Aspire ES1-131 11.6inch Intel Celeron 2GB RAM/32GB Windows 10, Black – Tesco Direct

From December 24, this Acer laptop – which comes with an 11.6-inch screen, an Intel dual-core processor and more – will have £70 knocked off the price. Yours for £109.

iPhone 6 - John Lewis

Happily, Apple's now added something very simple and very useful: a back button.

It might not be the latest model, but the iPhone 6 still more than holds it own. You can get £200 off it from 5pm on Christmas Eve.

Toshiba L50 15.6' Inch CI3 4GB 1TB Laptop - Argos

You can get £50 off this Toshiba laptop, reducing the price to £279.99. The discount comes into effect at one minute past midnight on Christmas Day, as do all of Argos' sales.

We featured this classy leather iPhone case back in September. The UK-based design outfit is offering 25 per cent off everything in its online store – including cases for iPhones, iPads and wallets – when you use the promo code nodusboxingday.

Kindle Paperwhite 2015 – Tesco Direct

Amazon’s Kindle Paperwhite will be reduced by 30 per cent on December 24 until December 29, meaning the price will go down to £79.

These comfortable earphones with impressive sound have had 60 per cent knocked off their price, now going for just £20.

Philips 55PUT4900 55 Inch 4K Ultra HD Freeview HD TV – Argos

As of Christmas Day, you can get this 4K TV from Philips for a knock-down price of £499.99 - that's a saving of £150.

LG 43LF510V 43INWIFI 1080P LED TV W/FREEVIEW HD – Tesco Direct

A pretty big saving on an even bigger TV here. Get this 43-inch, full HD TV by LG for £259.99 – a saving of £70.

Sony Xperia Z5 – Mobiles.co.uk

Online smartphone retailer mobiles.co.uk is running discounts on a number of handsets – including Samsung Galaxy Edge, iPhone 6s and LG Nexus 5X – provided you use the discount codes listed beside each product. One of the best deals is Sony’s Xperia Z5, currently with £125 off the upfront cost.

This Nescafe pod coffee machine has already been reduced down from £99.50, and it will get another reduction from December 24. You can get it for £29.50.
