Anyone who owns a dog will be well aware of just how much paraphernalia they bring with them, from multiple beds and food bowls to squeaky toys and collars in a variety of colours and patterns.

While such pet furnishings and accessories are essential to keeping your pooch happy, one word you don’t tend to associate with them is “stylish”, which is certainly not ideal if you’re a sucker for aesthetics.

Most of it isn’t exactly tasteful, with pawprint motifs and garishly bright colours scuppering your interior design vision but, the good news is that it doesn’t have to be that way.

In a bid to ensure your fuzzy friends look just as good as you do, Zara Home has launched its first ever collection dedicated entirely to pets, more specifically dogs.

The range, which is available to buy online now, caters to pet owners looking for visually pleasing products that will integrate with their home décor, while also ensuring their pup is satisfied. So, what does it include? Here’s everything you need to know.

You can trust our independent round-ups. We may earn commission from some of the retailers, but we never allow this to influence selections. This revenue helps us to fund journalism across The Independent.

The new Zara collection features three different beds to suit all kinds of canines, including a striped (£69.99) and floral version (£69.99), which both feature a comfy-looking cushion that can be machine washed, as well as a natural fibre bed basket (£29.99), which is made from woven seagrass and can be made extra cosy with the addition of a check cushion (£19.99) or check faux shearling blanket (£19.99).

A dog’s bowl has got to be paws-down one of their most prized possessions and now, thanks to Zara Home, they can make a welcome addition to your kitchen décor too, with a white enamelled version (£15.99) which is ideal for minimalists. Alternatively, if you want a more statement dish, the brand has also launched a Seventies-inspired ceramic brown bowl (£15.99) and a sleek brushed brass version too (£15.99).

The collection also includes products that are guaranteed to make you even more excited to take your pup on a stroll, including a simple leather dog lead (£19.99) that can be purchased alongside the matching collar (£15.99) and a braided style (£25.99), which comes in black, yellow or green.

As for toys, which are notoriously unpleasant to look at, there is a seriously stylish floral-patterned bone toy (£17.99) or multi-coloured ball (£11.99), which comes in muted shadese of mustard yellow, khaki green, blue and pink.

To complete your pooch’s stash, Zara Home has also included two grooming products: a pet spray (£15.99), which is made of natural materials and designed to be used between baths or after a stroll, and a pet brush (£17.99), which helps to remove hair and undo knots.

(Sleepeezee)

In our guide to best dog beds, this Sleepeezee basket dog bed was the winner.

The bed is available in three different sizes and colours, as well as a number of other styles, including a flat version, pillow and travel mat, and there's even the option to personalise it with your dog's name, which is a nice touch.

Paws & Presto natural dog paw balm: £10, Paws & Presto

(Paws & Presto)

If your dog loves to be pampered, we recommend investing in this paw balm which featured in our round-up of the best dog grooming products.

Your pet’s paws can take quite a battering if they’re walking a lot, as this can result in dry, sore or split skin, so our reviewer suggested a monthly application of this stuff should sort them out.

“Anti-bacterial, anti-microbial, anti-inflammatory and anti-fungal, it’s completely natural. The tin also lasts ages as only a thin layer is needed each time,” they said.

Barbour wax dog coat: £39.95, Barbour

(Barbour)

During wet winter walks, nothing beats a dog coat, especially when it’s one that not only looks good but is easy to clean.

This Barbour style featured in our round-up of the best dog coats, with the reviewer highlighting it for having substance as well as style. “The extra-wide underbody strap, which relies on a buckle rather than Velcro, made it easy to put on and take off, and its waxed finished provides unbeatable waterproofing.”

The reviewer also praised the coat’s Balmoral-worthy tartan lining and Barbour’s royal warrant, which is displayed on the inside of the coat in gold lettering.
