Just on the edge of St Helier, a four-minute walk will take you to Howard Davis park in one direction and the seawater bathing pool at Havre de Pas in the other. There is also a beach just across the road and a regular bus service into town and east to Gorey. The popular Thai Shack restaurant is situated on the slipway across the road with tables laid out on the sand.

By plane: flights from London Heathrow to Jersey take around one hour. The hotel is a 20-minute drive from the airport. Free parking available.

By boat: ferries to St Helier run from Poole (4 hours) and Portsmouth (10 hours 20 minutes). Book boats.

The attractive gabled building has been a hotel since 1934 and this period elegance can be felt inside in the public rooms, which have lofty ceilings and original tiled fireplaces. These are complemented by fleur-de-lis wallpaper, winged armchairs and some contemporary lamps and light fittings, as well as a solid slate floor in the reception.


This is a friendly hotel with a multilingual staff that can communicate with guests arriving from France and Germany as well as the UK.
