Hotel Review: Grace, Mykonos

Situated just above lovely little Ágios Stéfanos beach, 2.8km north of Hóra, the hotel feels well away from hectic Chora, or Mykonos Town - which is a plus for many, but not all. However, the town is under ten minutes away by taxi, or you can get a bus from the nearby port terminal.

By plane: flights from London and Manchester take under 4 hours.A taxi will take less than 15 minutes from the airport. Free on-site parking. Book flights to Mykonos.

Like many Mykonos hotels, the décor is minimalist, with clean lines and lots of white walls. Use of light woods, marble and a few artworks add a little colour.

The hotel is currently having renovations done to the rooms, and also the gym. There's a restaurant, bar, spa, smallish pool and concierge.

With just 32 rooms, there's quite an intimate feel to the hotel. Lower priced rooms can be small and quite plain, with a little balcony. Higher categories have features like terraces and perhaps a hot tub or plunge pool.

The restaurant and bar are situated by the pool area, with lovely sea views beyond. It's open, with sliding doors for colder days. There's a smallish breakfast menu, including a good scrambled egg with avocado, vinegar, chives and smoked salmon.

Grace Restaurant: poolside dining, Mediterranean cuisine. Open daily, 8am-11pm. À la carte breakfast can also be served in-room.
