Levi’s celebrates 30 years of Toy Story with new collection
The 23-piece collection reimagines Levi’s archival silhouettes and signature styles

It’s been 30 years since Toy Story was released, and to celebrate the milestone anniversary, Disney has collaborated with one of the most iconic Western fashion brands, Levi’s, to create a collection that blends nostalgia with fashion-forward designs.
Speaking to the new collection, Leo Gamboa, senior director of collaboration and customisation design at Levi’s, told The Independent that the partnership felt very organic and on-brand for the clothing company. The main priority, he says, was to create something that represented the character’s personality and aesthetic yet was still wearable. And that’s exactly what has been achieved.
The 23-piece collection reimagines Levi’s archival silhouettes and signature styles in a way that feels true to the brand yet still offers a nod to the characters in a way that feels right for Disney. There are graphics on tees and jackets, patches (a clever nod to when Woody gets repaired) on jeans and cow print galore.
Fans of Jessie will love the denim co-ord. Levi’s indigo ribcage bell jeans have been reworked. Featuring cow print accents around the waistband and “Yeehaw” embroidered on the back pocket, the jeans have been designed to be worn with the cropped denim jacket (which has the same cow print on the collar and is stitched with Jessie’s iconic “Yodelayheehoo” catch phrase).
Levi's x Story Story trucker jacket
A fun nod to Jessie, the trucker jacket is arguably my favourite piece from the collection. The cow print accents mean it’s a fun alternative to a standard denim jacket, and it’ll be the perfect piece to throw on over dresses when summer finally rolls back around. For now, though, layer with your favourite knits and pair with the ribcage bell jeans.

Reimaging Levi’s classic silhouette, these jeans are a fun addition to any wardrobe. The cowprint around the waist adds fun detailing, but for the full look, you have to pair it with the trucker jacket.

Levi's x Toy Story Western jacket
This boxy, cropped bomber jacket has a series of fun motifs from the movie, including Woody’s boot logo, Woody's belt buckle, a Space Ranger logo, a cactus design and the Pizza Planet emblem. Not to mention there’s a bullseye patch on the arm.
Another standout piece from the collection is the unisex quilted western jacket, which offers a subtle nod to the film by way of studded accents on the collar (motifs inspired by the film, including Woody’s boot logo, Woody's belt buckle, a Space Ranger logo, cactus design and the Pizza Planet emblem), an embroidered bullseye batch on the arm and Toy Story chainstiching on the cuff. It’s an elevated take on a bomber jacket, and extremely warm and cosy.
Gamboa’s favourite piece from the collection, though, is the denim hat. It had many different mood boards and iterations, but the concept was clear – the team wanted to nod to Disney merch.
To appeal to the collectors, there’s a unique yet well-thought-out addition to the collection. Each piece in the collection is adorned with a small patch that features a Toy Story character, including Woody, Jessie, Buzz and Rex. You can’t choose which one your item is stitched with, which adds to the excitement. Another sweet nod to the film comes in the form of Andy’s handwriting on the inside pocket of the jeans.
But as Gamboa put it, the “full collection is perfection” and certainly proves that fans of Toy Story have always got a friend in Levi’s.

This boxy tee looks like something you’d find in a vintage store. While it sits within the menswear part of the collection, it’d make a very cool piece in a woman’s wardrobe too.
Levi's x Toy Story men's hoodie
Nothing beats a hoodie, especially when it’s been designed with Woody on the back. The design is especially cosy – but I’d recommend sizing up for an even more comfortable fit. Much like most of the collection, it’s been designed with a randomly selected patch on the sleeve.
Levi's x Toy Story type Iii trucker jacket
Made from high-quality denim, this is another timeless piece from the collection that will become a wardrobe staple for Toy Story fans. While the front features a subtle nod to the film, the back features a Woody graphic and the “You've Got a Friend in Me” slogan. And the fabric patches are a great touch.
Levi's x Toy Story 568 loose jeans
As you’d expect from this collection, denim takes centre stage. Nodding to the scene when Woody is repaired, these jeans feature patch and repair detailing. But what’s particularly great is that the pockets feature Andy’s handwriting.

Bandanas were a statement accessory over the summer, so it’s no surprise that Levi’s incorporated its own designs into the Toy Story collection. This set includes three different designs: the yellow bandana features Woody, the red bandana has Buzz Lightyear on it, and the white bandana is printed with Jessie. Choose your player.
