This stylish boutique bolthole offers plenty of character, spread over two butterscotch Grade II listed buildings. It's fun and chic, with geometric floor patterns, low-hanging light bulbs and velvet sofas in bold, decisive palettes (mustard yellow; teal blue). Original features of the 17th-century coaching inn have been preserved where possible, including lovely oakwood ceiling beams that add a rustic touch.

The young team of staff are a friendly bunch, eager to please and always happy to help. They've put together some great suggestions of things to do and see in the area, including four Foodie Trails around the Cotswolds. Being a small boutique hotel in a listed building, facilities are limited to a little café-cum-bar, with fireplace and library, complete with boardgames, a garden patio, and a popular cocktail bar.
