OUR REVIEW

THE NEIGHBOURHOOD

This provides a refreshing change from a seaside hotel and gives you an opportunity to explore the historic interior of the island with its granite farmhouses, fields of doe-eyed Jersey cows and network of 15mph "green lanes". Two bus routes serve the hotel and the airport is just a five-minute drive away. You can catch a bus to La Mare Wine Estate to learn about Jersey's wine production and to the War Tunnels, which tells of the history of the second world war German occupation.

By plane: flights from London Heathrow to Jersey take around one hour. The hotel is a 5-minute taxi ride from the airport. There is free parking on-site.

By boat: ferries to St Helier run from Poole (4 hours) and Portsmouth (10 hours 20 minutes). Book boats.

THE FACILITIES

You'll be greeted by a friendly, welcoming team here - the manager has been with the hotel for more than 15 years. The heated outdoor pool is a fine spot to relax on a sunny day or you could ask for a packed lunch to take out on your walk.
