OUR REVIEW

THE NEIGHBOURHOOD

A quick and easy Metro transfer from the airport takes you to the transport hub of Nørreport, and from there it's just a few minute's walk to Skt Petri. The location is central and convenient, with the Latin Quarter on one side and the main pedestrianised shopping streets on the other. Nearby attractions worth checking out include the Round Tower (a 17th-century observatory with a view), Copenhagen Cathedral and Gråbrødretorv, a café-lined cobbled square.

By plane: direct flights to Copenhagen from London, Manchester and Edinburgh (1 hour 45 minutes). It's a 25-minute drive to the hotel. Parking costs DKK 500 per day. Book flights to Copenhagen.

THE LOOK AND FEEL

Skt Petri's bold approach to décor is in marked contrast to the neutral look in many Copenhagen hotels. In the huge lobby, cleverly designed to create different zones, the floor is dramatically patterned in bands of dark and light marble, and shades of green abound, from an emerald velvet sofa to an abundance of potted plants.

THE FACILITIES

Hotel services include 24-hour valet parking, airport transfers, same-day laundry service and a concierge desk, which sells Copenhagen Cards and can help with reservations. There's a fitness room and relaxation area, with a sauna and steam room, and you can book a massage or physiotherapy session at any time of day.

BED AND BATH

Geometric patterns, glossy finishes and deep colours give an air of Deco-era glamour to the rooms. White Moorish-style mouldings contrast with moody blue paints, panels of black and gold create giant bedheads, and there are soft rugs on the pale oak floors. Bathrooms are classic in style.
