Prince William and his eldest son George were spotted at an Astone Villa match on Thursday evening

King Charles and Queen Camilla have said they were “utterly shocked and horrified” by the knife attack at a Sydney shopping mall.

Their statement follows one issued by the Prince and Princess of Wales earlier today in which they praised the “heroic” emergency responders.

Emergency services rushed to the scene in the Australian city at 3:30pm local time on Saturday as shocking videos showed a man wearing shorts and a green and yellow shirt carrying a blade.

One of his victims is a nine-month-old baby, who is undergoing surgery in hospital.

The attacker was also shot dead by a police officer, who confronted the attacker and shot him as he faced her and raised a knife.

Police do not believe the act was terror-related, but that the man is known to law enforcement.

In a statement, the King said: “My wife and I were utterly shocked and horrified to hear of the tragic stabbing incident in Bondi.

“Our hearts go out to the families and loved ones of those who have been so brutally killed during such a senseless attack.

“While details of these shocking circumstances are still emerging, our thoughts are also with those who were involved in the response, and we give thanks for the bravery of the first responders and emergency services.”

Prince Andrew ‘delighted’ with portrayal in new Netflix film

Prince Andrew is reportedly ‘delighted’ by his portrayal in the new Netflix film Scoop.

The film depicts the aftermath of the Royal’s friendship with convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein and his reaction to the sexual assault allegations made against him in a disastrous 2019 interview with the BBC.

“Obviously Andrew regrets doing the interview, and if he had his time again he wouldn’t do it,” a friend of the Prince told The Daily Beast.

“‘That said, he feels Scoop is much more even-handed than he expected.

“It’s fair to say he was delighted by Rufus Sewell’s portrayal of him.”

Another friend praised the film for depicting some of the good work Prince Andrew did when he was still a working Royal.

They said: “I think the show, to the satisfaction of everyone who actually knows the guy, made clear that Andrew was an extremely good convener of people.

“He did actually play a valuable role for the royals with Pitch@Palace and his other business-focused advocacy work.

“When he was at a business meet and greet in a conference room in Hong Kong, there was real energy when he entered the room.”

William and Kate feeling ‘intense anxiety’ about accession to throne, Diana biographer claims

The Prince and Princess of Wales are feeling “intense anxiety” about taking over from King Charles III, Princess Diana‘s biographer has claimed.

Charles, 75, who is undergoing treatment for cancer, has undertaken reduced public-facing royal duties since his diagnosis was announced.

Kate has also disclosed that she is undergoing a course of preventative chemotherapy for cancer.

“The almost simultaneous news of Charles’s cancer has put William and Catherine in frightening proximity to ascending the throne just when they had hoped for a span of years to parent their children out of the public eye. The prospect of it, I am told, is causing them intense anxiety,” Tina Brown wrote in the New York Times.
