It’s been three weeks since the Nintendo Switch 2 launched, and stock is almost entirely gone across the UK. Right now we’re seeing stock of some bundles available at Very – though you’ll have to act fast to secure one.

After lengthy drops last week from Argos, Currys, Game and Smyths Toys, retailers across the UK have mostly sold out of the Switch 2. That said, you can still get your hands on the console if you know where to look. Consoles are coming in and out of stock at Amazon, and EE is still offering the console with Mario Kart World to existing customers. Independent games retailer also has consoles available with delivery by the end of next month.

If you’re still trying to track one down, I’m updating this page with the latest Nintendo Switch 2 stock news and drop info as it happens. Keep checking back for updates.

The Switch 2 might look familiar, but there’s a lot going on underneath. It’s powered by a new custom Nvidia chip, so games don’t just load faster, they look better and run more smoothly. You get 12GB of RAM (up from 4GB on the original Switch), and most of that goes straight into powering games, not just background stuff.

The screen is still LCD, not OLED, but it’s bigger at 7.9in and has 1080p resolution. It supports HDR and a 120Hz refresh rate. Colours pop more, and motion looks buttery-smooth in handheld mode. There’s also DLSS upscaling built in, so older games look better. Sadly, while it supports variable refresh rates, it doesn’t work when docked – just in handheld mode.

Nintendo Switch 2 price

The Nintendo Switch 2 on its own costs £399.99, and the main bundle with Mario Kart World costs £429.99. Buying the bundle saves you £40 compared to picking up the game separately, so it’s better value if you’re planning to grab it anyway.

No big discounts yet – it hasn’t even been out a month, after all – but some retailers have larger, more expensive bundles. These include the new Switch 2 camera (£49, Amazon.co.uk), the Pro controller (£74.99, Very.co.uk) and the official carry case and screen protector (£20.99, Amazon.co.uk), as well as extra games and accessories.

Nintendo Switch 2 launch games

There are plenty of new Nintendo Switch 2 games at launch. Mario Kart World is the big one, but you’ve also got upgraded versions of Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom, plus mammoth games like Cyberpunk 2077 Ultimate Edition that really test the console’s muscle.

Other launch day games include Hades 2, Split Fiction, Sonic X Shadow Generations, Street Fighter 6, Survival Kids and Suikoden I & II HD Remaster. You’ve also got Yakuza 0: Director’s Cut, Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess, and Deltarune Chapters 1–4, plus more niche picks like Fantasy Life i and Bravely Default: Flying Fairy HD. Civilization VII and No Man’s Sky are here too, and Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour acts as a mini showcase for the new hardware.

On top of that, loads of older Nintendo titles have been patched with free performance updates, and Wind Waker, F-Zero GX and Soul Calibur II are now available through the new Switch Online GameCube library.

EE has had Nintendo Switch 2 stock since it launched

It’s been three weeks, and EE still has the Nintendo Switch 2 in stock for existing customers.

For £22 a month (plus £20 up-front) over 24 months, you get the Nintendo Switch 2 console, a digital copy of Mario Kart World, a full year of Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack, and two years of EE’s Gamer’s and Video Data Passes, meaning you can play and stream without touching your mobile data.

The catch, as always, is that you need to be an existing EE customer. If you are, your console will arrive within 1-3 working days.

Why don't any retailers have the console this week?

This is all speculation, but it looks like the next shipment of Nintendo Switch 2 stock isn’t due until next month.

Smyths Toys has updated its stock tracker to say it expects more consoles in July. Up until now, the retailer’s tracker usually listed a specific date range for incoming deliveries. This is the first time it’s switched to a vague monthly estimate.

Most UK retailers share the same supply chain for the Switch 2, which means they tend to receive stock at the same time. It also speaks volumes that it’s only Nintendo itself who has had stock.

That’s why I don’t think we’ll see any more restocks this week, or any of substance, at least.

Amazon is only dropping one or two consoles at a time, this is what I think is happening

Amazon keeps drip-feeding one or two consoles into the system at a time. If you refresh either listing for the bundle or console, you might get lucky.

What I think is happening is that Amazon is simply re-releasing cancelled orders, which is why it only has one or two in stock at a time. Refreshing the page and clicking “Buy now” as soon as it comes back in stock is probably your best option.

Morning all! It’s been a terrible week for restocks, which is something I predicted a couple days ago.

Right now, existing customers at EE have it best, as it’s pretty much the only place where you can get a Nintendo Switch 2 right now.

Nintendo Switch 2 is coming in and out of stock at Amazon

Amazon is still releasing Mario Kart World bundles in drips and drabs. It pays to heep refreshing the page throughout the day. I’ve just seen more consoles go live this afternoon.

Very might be about to drop more Nintendo Switch 2 consoles

If you’re not willing to spend north of £500 for a Nintendo Switch 2 bundle from The Game Collection, then you might want to add Very to your wish list.

The retailer has recently listed a Mario Kart World bundle with a microSD Express card for £479 to its site. It’s not live yet, but it’s just been added. That might mean Very is gearing up to set it live imminently.

Nintendo out of stock

Nintendo has run out of stock, too. If you want a Switch ASAP, your best option is The Game Collection, but it’s expensive.

It’s a decent bundle - you get a Switch 2, Mario Kart World, Cyberpunk 2077, a Micro SD Card, the Switch 2 camera and a premium travel kit.

However, it costs more than £600.

Stock wavering but strong at Nintendo

Good morning. After a quiet few days, we’ve seen a lot of retailers run out of stock. There are few options, but right now your best bet for a console in the next few days is Nintendo. There is stock of both the standalone console and the bundle with Mario Kart World.

Walmart will have Nintendo Switch 2 stock in the US tonight

For any US readers out there – Walmart is about to restock the Nintendo Switch 2 later tonight.

The store will have stock at 9pm ET tonight, so set your alarms. I’ve got all the details in my article below:

John Lewis sells out, but Nintendo still has stock

That went quick. John Lewis has already sold out, so if you’re still looking for the Nintendo Switch 2 – the official storefront is your best bet.
