8 best bamboo sheets for a peaceful and comfortable sleep, tried and tested
Airy and smooth to the touch, these eco-friendly bed sheets will help you keep your cool

Bamboo bedding has gained popularity in recent years for its cooling properties, silky feel and suitability for sensitive skin. As an interiors editor who’s been testing bamboo sheets and duvet cover sets for years, I know which sheets will take your bedding to the next level.
Over the years, I’ve slept on bamboo sets through changing seasons, rotating and comparing them with cotton, linen and eucalyptus options to understand where bamboo really earns its keep. Over time, I’ve learned that not all bamboo bedding behaves the same way. Fibre type, weave and finishing play a huge role in breathability, temperature regulation, and whether they still look good after months of washing.
Now, as well as my own assessment of the bamboo sheets below, I’ve also consulted the textile experts about bamboo-viscose versus bamboo-lyocell, and why some fabrics pill while others stay smooth. The biggest takeaway? Higher-quality bamboo tends to feel cooler for longer, drapes better on the bed, and copes far more gracefully with regular laundering.
Below, my edit focuses on sets that deliver genuine comfort night after night, balancing softness, breathability and durability, while also addressing practical details like deep mattress fits and how much effort it takes to make the bed in the morning. Keep reading for the sets that, having passed my thorough testing process, are worth investing in.

How I tested

Sleeping on the job, I tested each bamboo sheet by assessing its softness, breathability and overall comfort over the course of several nights. Each was washed and tested again for softness. For my full testing criteria, keep reading to the bottom of this review.
1Sloth London bamboo bedding set

- Best bamboo sheets overall
- Sizes Double, king, super king
- Package contents Duvet cover, fitted sheet, two pillowcases
- Material 100 per cent bamboo rayon (piping: polyester)
- Colourways White with variations in the piping (navy, grey, ochre, peach, mint, white)
- Care Wash at 30C, line dry preferred, low tumble dry if needed
- Why we love it
- Soft, breathable fabric that regulates temperature well
- Sustainable packaging and strong eco credentials
- Take note
- Requires delicate washing and careful handling when wet
- No single size available
Sloth’s bamboo bedding set is made from 100 per cent bamboo rayon and is designed to deliver that soft, cool-on-contact feel that bamboo-converts know and love. Straight out of the packet, it was by far the most supple. In testing, it performed particularly well for breathability and moisture management, staying comfortable through warmer nights, while still feeling cosy once temperatures dipped.

The fabric arrives with a noticeable sheen that softens after a few washes, settling into a smoother, more relaxed finish over time. Antibacterial and hypoallergenic claims hold up in day-to-day use, with the sheets staying fresher between washes, compared with some other bedding options.
Thoughtful touches such as plastic-free delivery and a reusable bamboo drawstring bag add to its appeal, although the fabric does need gentle handling to keep it looking its best. I also loved the colour piping detail, which makes this set stand out on the design front.
2Zleepy organic bamboo silk deep fitted bedsheet

- Best budget bamboo sheets
- Sizes Super king
- Package contents Fitted sheet
- Material 100 per cent bamboo lyocell
- Colourways White
- Care Machine wash at low temperatures; follow brand care guidance
- Why we love it
- Noticeably cool feel and excellent breathability
- Deep fit that stays secure through the night
- Take note
- No matching duvet cover or pillowcases available
This deep fitted sheet is made from 100 per cent bamboo lyocell and designed with hot sleepers in mind. In testing, it stood out for its cool-to-the-touch feel and secure fit, with the 40cm depth hugging the mattress properly and staying put overnight. The fabric starts with a light sheen but softens quickly after washing, settling into a smoother, more cotton-like finish.

Zleepy’s cooling claims feel realistic in day-to-day use, particularly during warmer nights, and the sheet stayed comfortable without that clammy feeling some bamboo fabrics develop. While it’s just a fitted sheet rather than a full set, at this price, it offers a strong foundation for anyone prioritising temperature control.
3Belledorm bamboo duvet set

- Best bamboo sheet for affordable luxury
- Sizes Single, double, king, super king
- Package contents Duvet cover, two pillowcases (single includes one)
- Material 70 per cent bamboo, 30 per cent cotton
- Colourways White, platinum
- Care Machine washable at 40C
- Why we love it
- Excellent balance of cooling and durability
- Thoughtful details like corner hand holes
- Take note
- Limited colour options compared with other sets tested
This bamboo duvet cover set blends 70 per cent bamboo with 30 per cent cotton, landing in a sweet spot between softness, breathability and everyday durability. In testing, it impressed the most for temperature regulation and wash performance, staying smooth and comfortable after washing at 40C in the machine.

The 300-thread count gives it a fluid, lightly silky feel without tipping into slippery territory, and the hand holes in the corners make changing the duvet far less of a chore. Compared with 100 per cent bamboo-viscose sets I’ve tested, this one feels slightly less glossy but far more resilient, which makes it better value long-term. The deeper sides and seven-year guarantee seal its affordable luxury status, although colour choice is limited.
4Panda London signature+ bamboo lyocell complete bedding set

- Best bamboo sheets for softness
- Sizes Single, double, king, super king
- Package contents Duvet cover, fitted sheet, two pillowcases (single includes one)
- Material 100 per cent bamboo lyocell
- Colourways Cream, forest green
- Care Wash up to 30C, line dry recommended, low tumble dry if needed
- Why we love it
- Exceptional softness and temperature control
- Full set offers a coordinated, hotel-style feel
- Take note
- Premium price and slightly higher maintenance than blended bamboo sets
This complete bedding set is made from 100 per cent bamboo lyocell, and it shows in the feel. In testing, this was one of the smoothest sets I slept on, with a fluid, satin-like finish that stayed cool through warm nights and felt cosy once temperatures dipped. It performed especially well for breathability and moisture management, making it a strong option for hot sleepers or those with sensitive skin.

Compared with bamboo-cotton blends, this feels more luxurious and drapier, but it does demand a bit more care. The price firmly places it at the premium end, and the fabric can crease more easily if tumble dried, but for all-out softness, this one’s hard to beat.
5Luff Sleep silverlining organic bamboo duvet set

- Best bamboo sheets for sensitive skin
- Sizes UK single, double, king, super king
- Package contents Duvet cover and pillowcases (single includes one pillowcase)
- Material Organic bamboo lyocell with real silver fibres
- Colourways White, grey
- Care Machine washable to 40C, follow brand care guidance for longevity
- Why we love it
- Fresh-feeling fabric with genuine antibacterial benefits
- Good balance of performance and price
- Take note
- Colour choice is limited
- Size and shade availability varies
This bamboo lyocell duvet set stands out for its use of real silver (yes, you read that correctly) woven directly into the fibres – a feature designed to keep things fresher and more hygienic over time. In testing, the Luff bedding excelled for temperature control and next-morning freshness, and it works particularly well for hot sleepers and anyone prone to skin flare-ups.

The fabric feels smooth and lightweight, with a cleaner, less glossy finish than other bamboo lyocell sheets, making it feel slightly more practical for year-round use. The antibacterial claims do hold up in daily use, with the 100-night trial offering plenty of time to see how it fits into your sleep routine. Overall, this is a reassuring mid-priced option.
6Truly white bamboo bedding set

- Best practical bamboo sheets
- Sizes Double, king, super king
- Packages contents Duvet cover, two housewife pillowcases
- Material 100 per cent viscose bamboo
- Colourways White
- Care Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle
- Why we love it
- Smooth, silky feel that works well for sensitive skin
- Cooling properties suit year-round use
- Take note
- Fabric sheen is stronger straight out of the box and softens with washing
- No single size available
Crafted from 100 per cent viscose derived from bamboo, this bedding set is designed to deliver a silk-like feel without the matching price tag. The fabric feels smooth and fluid against the skin, with a naturally cool touch that suits warmer sleepers and anyone prone to night-time overheating.

Bamboo’s antibacterial and hypoallergenic properties came through in everyday use, helping the bedding stay fresher between washes. Button fastenings keep the duvet neatly in place, while the smart housewife pillowcases add a classic finish. The sheen is more noticeable when new, and benefits from gentle washing to relax the fibres but, overall, this is a well-priced option for soft, breathable comfort.
7Dusk Bamboo 300 thread count supersoft cotton duvet cover

- Best value bamboo sheets
- Sizes Double, king, super king
- Package contents Duvet cover
- Material 60 per cent bamboo, 40 per cent cotton
- Colourways Olive, white/black, white/blue
- Care Machine wash at 30C, cool tumble dry, medium iron
- Why we love it
- Easy-care fabric with a smooth, breathable finish
- Smart contrast trim elevates the look
- Take note
- Pillowcases sold separately
- No single size available
This duvet cover blends 60 per cent bamboo with 40 per cent cotton, giving it a smooth, breathable feel that works well year-round. In testing, it performed best for comfort and convenience, striking a nice balance between softness and structure, with noticeably less slip than full bamboo sets.

The 300-thread count lends a polished finish, while the contrast trim adds a tailored detail that feels considered and gives the duvet cover a welcome bit of structure (where others slip off the side of the bed). It washes well at 30C and dries without much drama, making it a good everyday option.
Sold as separates, you’ll need to factor in buying pillowcases separately, which pushes the overall spend up slightly.
8Bambaw bamboo fitted sheet

- Best bamboo sheet for colour options
- Sizes Single, double, king, super king
- Package contents Fitted sheet
- Material 100 per cent bamboo viscose
- Colourways White, ivory, burgundy, grey, dark grey, navy blue, light blue, charcoal, sand, sea glass, olive green, terracotta
- Care Machine washable at 30C, tumble dry on low, follow brand care guidance
- Why we love it
- Secure deep fit that stays smooth all night
- Excellent choice of colours compared with many bamboo sheets
- Take note
- Not a set (products sold separately)
This weightier-than-most fitted sheet is made from 100 per cent bamboo viscose, produced using Tanboocel technology – a manufacturing process that reuses resources to reduce waste – which turns bamboo into a soft textile fibre. In testing, it felt very comfortable and cooling. The fabric feels smooth and breathable from the first night, with moisture-wicking properties that suit hot sleepers and anyone who tends to overheat.

Bamboo’s hypoallergenic qualities come through clearly here, helping create a fresher sleep environment. The deep-pocket design and full 360-degree elastic give it a secure, hotel-style fit that stays put, even on deeper mattresses or those with toppers. Another standout perk is the wide range of colour options, making it easy to match existing bedding or switch things up seasonally.
What is the best bamboo sheet?
Sloth’s bamboo bedding set earns top spot for its balance of comfort, breathability and thoughtful design. The bamboo rayon fabric feels cool on contact, manages moisture well and settles into a softer, more relaxed finish over time, making it a pleasure to sleep on night after night. I also appreciated the colour contrast piping, the deep fit and the reusable bamboo storage bag. For a more affordable option, Dusk’s bamboo-cotton duvet cover offers easy care and a polished look at a lower price, even if you will need to buy pillowcases separately. As for a premium option, if you are happy to invest a little more and handle it with care, Panda London’s signature+ bamboo lyocell set stands out for its exceptional softness and fluid drape, delivering a noticeably more indulgent feel.
How I tested bamboo sheets
I slept on each set at home for multiple nights, then repeated key tests after washing to see how they held up over time. During the testing process, I considered the following criteria.
- Fabric feel and drape: I assessed hand-feel straight out of the box and after washing, as well as how fluid or “clingy” the fabric felt on the bed.
- Temperature and moisture management: Comfort across warm and cooler nights, plus how quickly the fabric felt dry again after overheating were also considered.
- Breathability: I assessed airflow through the weave, including any difference between sateen-style finishes and crisper weaves.
- Fit and stay-put factor: Depth of fitted sheets, elastic grip, corner pop-off risk, and whether the sheet stayed smooth overnight where also key points.
- Build quality: I examined the stitching, seams, ties (for duvet covers), button or zip closures, and any early signs of twisting or warping.
- Wash performance: I kept an eye out for any shrinkage, creasing, softening, colour change, and pilling/bobbling after repeated wash cycles.
- Everyday ease: How fast it dried, how much it wrinkled, and how annoying it was to put back on the bed were also considered.
- Value and transparency: I took into account price against quality, as well as clarity around materials and third-party certifications where provided.
