Jonathan Doidge

Jonathan Doidge is the racing correspondent for The Independent and has been a lifelong lover of horse racing. Professionally, he has worked for the Racing Post, sportinglife.com, William Hill and BSkyB. He’s also been a paddock host and a commentator. His unfulfilled ambition is to tick off all Britain’s racecourses. He’s getting there! Aside from racing, Jonathan has commentated on cricket for the BBC, and has worked at many rugby league games. You might even hear him reading the news, or be in the audience at one of the many sports chat events that he hosts.
