Becca Cosmetics, the brand well known for its glow-giving make-up products, has announced it will be closing at the end of September 2021.

The beauty brand delivered the news via an Instagram post, citing “an accumulation of challenges, together with the global impact of Covid-19” as the reason behind its decision.

It has also posted a longer message to its fans and customers on its website, reflecting on the 20 years since it was first launched by make-up artist Rebecca Morrice Williams.

Notable moments in the brand’s history include collaborations with celebrities such as Khloe Kardashian and Chrissy Teigen after being bought by Estée Lauder in 2016.

One of Becca’s most popular cult products is its powder highlighter in the shade “champagne pop” – a shimmering gold shade with pink undertones.

The news will come as a sad shock to many make-up obsessives, and while there are a few months to go until the brand exits retailers’ shelves, we’re keen to stock up while we still have the chance.

We’ve handpicked our favourite products from Becca, from primers to concealers, that we’ve long loved using.

While its Becca’s highlighting formulas that the brand is famous for, its lipsticks also pack a punch. This warm, rosy nude took the top spot in our review of the best nude lipsticks, from matte to satin finishes.

There are 29 other shades to enjoy, but this stood out for our reviewer thanks to the flattering glow it gave to warm, neutral and cool skin tones.

“It’s incredibly hydrating thanks to a combo of hyaluronic acid, mango butter, avocado and olive oil, and we were sceptical that such a moisturising formula would last for the promised eight hours, but it more than did the job and never went patchy,” said our reviewer.

Becca under eye brightening corrector: £21, Boots.com

(Becca Cosmetics)

This creamy product contains light-reflecting illuminators that, when dabbed under the eyes, instantly brighten and even out skin tone. You can wear it on its own or under make-up to look and feel more awake even after a bad night’s sleep.

Its consistency is thick but a small amount goes a long way, so it will last ages and is a godsend for hiding tired eyes. We love blending this with a densely packed small brush, but you can also use your ring finger.

In our guide to the best concealers for hiding dark circles and blemishes, this brightening and illuminating product was loved by our reviewer for its lightweight formula.

“Made with 32 per cent water, it’s unsurprising how light and hydrating it feels on your skin (we found it particularly refreshing beneath the eyes),” they said.

Available in nine different shades, it contains colour-adaptive pigments that blur imperfections and brighten dull areas of skin for a soft-focus finish that our tester found easy to blend and layer.

Becca shimmering skin perfector pressed highlighter: £24, Johnlewis.com

Few highlighters have made a name for themselves quite like this one, so if you’re a fan, it’s time to start stocking up.

It impressed our IndyBest reviewer too in our guide to the best liquid, powder and cream highlighters that give the ultimate glow. There are nine shades in total, ranging from a pearlescent pale to a chocolatey brown that will look radiant on deeper skin tones.

“Rather than the wet, balmy finish of many recent releases, it’s a good old-fashioned pressed powder – but is creamy enough not to appear chalky on the skin. Sweep it gently across your cheeks for a healthy but not OTT glow,” our reviewer said.

Becca skin love weightless blur foundation: £32, Asos.com

(Becca Cosmetics)

If you’re keen to conceal breakouts with your foundation but don’t want anything heavy that will go cakey throughout the day, this buildable formula scored a place in our guide to the best foundations for acne-prone skin.

Our reviewer sang its praises, saying: “Make-up that feels like your own skin is a frequently used cliché in beauty, but has never been as true as it is with this product,” adding, “pores can breathe and any active breakouts are gently blurred while also having the space to heal with such a lightweight formula.”

Becca backlight priming perfector: £28, Lookfantastic.com

(Becca Cosmetics)

If you love a radiant base, this primer that sits beneath your foundation is the secret to a long-lasting glow. It adds a luminous veil to the skin, prepping it for your foundation and future products while also being lightweight and giving a smooth finish.

If you have oily skin, we’d recommend dabbing a small amount onto where you usually wear your highlighter, such as the tops of cheekbones, to manage where it looks glowy and where it is mattified. You only need a tiny bit, and the pump is great for controlling the amount you use.
