Whether you’re starting your Christmas shopping early or just looking to treat yourself, now is the time to grab a bargain as Amazon Prime Day is finally here.
The huge annual sale usually happens in July, but this year the event was postponed because of coronavirus, so is now running from 13 to 14 October.
So far, we’ve seen slashed prices across home appliances, kids’ toys, laptops, TVs and Amazon devices, among other deals.
When it comes to tech, fitness trackers are hugely popular on Prime Day, and this year there’s some impressive discounts on the cult-favourite smartwatch brand, Fitbit.

Fitbit versa 2 smartwatch: Was £199.99, now £129.99
Our technology critic, David Phelan, rated this model highly in his IndyBest review of the best smartwatches of 2020, praising its easy to use smart system and tracking capabilities. He said: “Fitbit, which has recently been acquired by Google, is known for the high accuracy of its activity tracking measurements.
"Its operating software is straightforward and easy to use and there are lots of advanced fitness features, such as sophisticated sleep tracking which helps you understand how you’re sleeping thanks to a nightly sleep rating. It can do this because the battery life is enough to last up to five days so there’s time to recharge it.”
Recommending this smartwatch for Android users in particular, he added: “This has Alexa built-in: press and hold the side button to ask it questions, set a timer or start a workout. This is a very effective tracker, especially for monitoring. However, if you have an iPhone, then the Apple Watch Series 3 offers more for the same money. If you have an Android phone, the Versa 2 is hard to beat.”
It also featured in our review of the best fitness trackers, so you can rest assured knowing that you’re getting a great deal by saving £70, as well as a top performing watch.
