Musician turns ‘Florida Man’ headlines into songs
A musician has brought out the human side of “Florida Man” stories with an album about the classic headlines.
Max Quinn - who writes songs for his Florida Man project - composed a track inspired by an Independent article about a man who wakeboarded through floodwater as Hurricane Ian approached the state in September 2022.
Each track on the album reframes headlines “toward empathy and the gooey, human stuff that connects us,” Quinn told The Independent.
Quinn is planning to release the record later in 2023.
