Mother ends up with hole in stomach after £16,000 ‘mummy makeover’ surgery goes wrong

A mum-of-three spent £16,000 on a "mummy makeover" to give her back her pre-pregnancy body - but ended up with a horror infection which left her with a huge hole in her stomach.

Melanie Sandberg, 35, from New York, saved up for surgeries after having two babies in two years and was excited to see the results after the $20,000 procedure on 17 February.

But the stay-at-home mother soon noticed a terrifying complication in the form of an infected hole in her stomach that started to grow larger and more painful over time.
