SGI shows Middle East is ‘serious’ about climate crisis, head of Kaust says

The president of the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (Kaust) has said that the annual Saudi Green Initiative (SGI) helps "show the world" that Saudi Arabia and the wider Middle East are "serious" about tackling climate change.

Speaking to The Independent ahead of the forum on 11-12 November, Dr Tony Chan said: "we have to work together, government, private sector, academia, because this is a major crisis for human kind."
