Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau is to be questioned by legislators on Tuesday, as truckers continue to protest the government’s vaccine mandate in Ottawa, Detroit and Windsor. A day earlier, Mr Trudeau had said during an emergency debate in the House of Commons that the ‘Freedom Convoy’ demonstration “has to stop” and that Ottawa residents “don’t deserve to be confronted with the inherent violence of a swastika flying on a street corner ... just because they’re wearing a mask”.
