Sunak welcomes von der Leyen at Windsor ahead of Northern Ireland Protocol talks

Rishi Sunak has greeted Ursula von der Leyen upon her arrival for Northern Ireland Protocol talks in Windsor.

It is expected that the pair will announce that they have agreed on a deal to end the long-running Brexit sticking point.

After the anticipated confirmation of the historic agreement, King Charles III will then meet with the European Commission president.

The prime minister is then expected to make a statement in the House of Commons later this afternoon.
